If you change one thing in wresling history...

What would it be? Would you have fired HHH? Put the title on RVD in 2001 in the WWE? Never sold WCW?

:?:

addy2hotty 02-16-2006 05:51 PM

Never split the brands

Disturbed316 02-16-2006 05:53 PM

Owen's death.

Bad Company 02-16-2006 05:53 PM

WCW Invasion

Fox 02-16-2006 06:14 PM

Stephanie McMahon found Paul Levesque (aka Triple H) quite unattractive.

Y3J 02-16-2006 06:23 PM

Made Booker T champion in 2002.

Xero 02-16-2006 06:27 PM

I would have done the Screwjob backwards. Bret screwing Shawn in Texas.

The Show Off 02-16-2006 06:30 PM

Aside from the obvious answer of saving someone's life here are a few things I would have done...

--Have Tully Blanchard turn on Ric Flair and win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship
--Have Mr. Perfect win the 1991 Royal Rumble and take the Championship at Wrestlemania VII
--Have Raven never leave ECW
--Have Chris Jericho beat Triple H, Hell in a Cell, Judgment Day 2002
--Have Chris Jericho beat Shawn Michaels, Wrestlemania XIX
--Have Christopher Daniels beat AJ Styles at Against All Odds rather then at Destination X
--Have Raven lose the NWA World Championship at an actual TNA Pay Per View
--Have Chris Jericho beat John Cena, Summerslam 2005
--Have Eddie Guerrero beat Batista, No Mercy 2005, so Eddie Could have died a World Champion
--Have Edge beat John Cena, Royal Rumble 2006

He said one thing. ;)

Xero 02-16-2006 06:33 PM

I would have had Paul Heyman get a respectable rich partner to fund him in the latter years of ECW.

PullMyFinger 02-16-2006 06:34 PM

Make sure WCW doesn't die.

LK 02-16-2006 07:21 PM

Have Paul Heyman acknowledge that he can't run ECW by himself and needs real help, not just from the wrestlers.

Skippord 02-16-2006 07:45 PM

I would've had RVD win the Royal Rumble and then at WM22 have him beat Cena and throw the WWE spinner title in the trash and light a joint and throw it in and burn it and start using the ECW title for the WWE title

Fryza 02-16-2006 07:49 PM

Just wouldn't have wrestler's have so much backstage pull. That alone ends quite a lot of shit.

As for wrestler's dying. There's a point when even thinking about playing God goes too far. Not my place to make or take those calls.

Johnny Vegas 02-16-2006 08:43 PM

That is kinda what i thought. Sure we would want to bring people back to life as a humane act, but i honestly couldn't pick just one.

Pinnacle Charisma 02-16-2006 08:59 PM

Not treat Jericho like a tool after the won the undisputed title

redoneja 02-16-2006 09:01 PM

I wouldn't have necessarily changed the Screwjob, but I would have prevented Hart from getting his career ending concussion.

Avenger 02-16-2006 09:02 PM

WCW

Well, it was bound to happen someday anyway, as his concussions were built up, and that was the blow to end it all, if you will. He would have had to retire for the same reason (barring other injuries, etc), whether in one big hit or over a few more anyway.

Basically because Jericho beating Triple H in that Hell in a Cell would have finally gotten him over to the point where the WWE really couldn't bury him. Plus he deserved it after how they mishandled the whole Wrestlemania XVIII story ling with Jericho and Triple H. The reason I wouldn't change the lead up to Wrestlemania XVIII is becuase even though the story line sucked, it succeeded in giving Jericho the Undisputed Championship, finally breaking up Triple H and Stephnie (storyline wise), and Triple H deserved to win the title at that Wrestlemania. If Jericho just won that Hell in a Cell he would have become a legit Main Event player. Which would have led to him probably beating Shawn at Wrestlemania XIX, and another Championship run.

mrslackalack 02-16-2006 09:23 PM

Storyline wise throughout the years that WCW was as good as they were is 96 and WWF in 98 and ECW in 97.

Skippord 02-16-2006 09:53 PM

I'd also have pushed Benoit and such higher in WCW

FourFifty 02-16-2006 09:56 PM

I would have ended the nWo YEARS sooner. They were good, but they weren't meant to be a huge multi-factioned long lasting group. First and foremost, splitting the nWo into the nWo, The Wolf Pack, the lWo, and nWo Japan was just stupid. I also wouldn't of had Hogan become the leader of the nWo, no Scott Hall handing over the title bullshit. Put WCW on the right track!

Now I was never a big fan of WCW. So here I am, wanting to change history to make WCW last longer? Why?
Because I believe the WWF was at its best during the Monday Night Wars. If coke was the only soft drink on the market the coke compnay would be able to totally fuck up coke and people would still drink it because there isn't any other big name cola on the market to keep it in check, to make sure they live up to their standards.

Innovator 02-16-2006 11:28 PM

Have Bill Gates financially back ECW

Dorkchop 02-16-2006 11:35 PM

* Christian having a long lasting feud with Cena resulting in Captain Charisma winning the title and holding it for a while. Everyone wanted that.

Either that or Mr. Perfect winning the Royal Rumble when he returned.

Have Chris Sabin beat Jeff Jarrett on Impact that one time

Nowhere Man 02-17-2006 02:41 AM

Planted Chris Benoit's workrate and professionalism into Hulk Hogan's body.

Pinnacle Charisma 02-17-2006 06:26 AM

Actually I want to change my answer. Not many people know this but when Vince McMahon was a child he was attacked by a Canadian midget. This has affected resulting in him punishing anyone under six foot and/or Canadian for the rest of this life. So I would go back to that day and stop that midget attacking young Vincent.

Shadow 02-17-2006 05:42 PM

The treatment of Jeff Hardy by the WWE.

If you don't understand by now...you never will.

Joey Slugs 02-17-2006 06:51 PM

Have Andre beat Hogan @ WM3

loopydate 02-17-2006 06:58 PM

I would have given David Arquette creative control so that when he said "No, Vince, I don't want to be the World Champion. This is a terrible idea," Russo would have been forced to listen to him.

McLegend 02-17-2006 07:00 PM

Arquette didn't really want to win the title?

But one man at the table wasn't laughing: Vince Russo. In fact, he thought that it was a great idea. He was alone in this thinking. Even Arquette, himself a lifelong wrestling fan, knew people would hate the idea, and tried to talk him out of it. Russo would have none of it, convinced that this was just the thing WCW needed.

McLegend 02-17-2006 07:08 PM

Never knew that.

loopydate 02-17-2006 07:09 PM

I didn't either until I read that book.

Just another reason to hate Tony Schiavone, I guess. :)

Cool King 02-17-2006 07:12 PM

Have The British Bulldog win the 1995 Royal Rumble instead of Shawn Michaels.
