loopydate 02-22-2006 08:41 PM

I'm limiting myself to what I can fit on an 80-minute CD-R.
  1. How Good It Can Get
  2. (What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love & Understanding [Cover]
  3. Somebody Else's Money
  4. For The Life Of Me
  5. Everybody Out Of The Water
  6. Josephine
  7. I'm Looking Through You [Cover]
  8. Ashes To Ashes
  9. God Says Nothing Back
  10. One Headlight
  11. Back To California
  12. Used To Be Lucky
  13. Sleepwalker
  14. From The Bottom Of My Heart
  15. The Difference
  16. Laughing Out Loud
  17. I Started A Joke [Cover]
I had a really hard time narrowing this down to one CD's worth, and I almost considered forcing myself to using only Wallflowers originals, but I love those three covers so much that I had to include them. A whole lot harder than I thought it would be.

I tried doing one for Motley for like 10 minutes but I couldn't choose. There is seriously too many good songs.

Fryza 02-23-2006 09:50 AM

Diesel, I doubt you'd fit all those tracks onto one CD. I burnt a Metallica CD a few years back, and couldn't get past twelve tracks. May have been the CD being too short on space though.

Rammstein:

1- Du Hast
2- Rammstein
3- Hierate Mich
4- Spiel Mit Mir
5- Links 234
6- Mutter
7- Sonne
8- Du Riechst So Gut
9- Ich Will
10- Schwarzes Glas
11- Amerika
12- Los
13- Dalai Lama
14- Rosenrot
15- Benzin

Kane Knight 02-23-2006 03:31 PM

I've gotten a 15 song Metallica disc before, but I think those songs would run too long.

However, he's probably close to "within bounds."

D Mac 02-23-2006 03:46 PM

I'd probably remove St. Anger if it came down to it.

Cactus Sid 02-23-2006 05:00 PM

I don't even listen to CD's anymore. Last Greatest Hits CD I made was a Led Zeppelin one. I'm pretty sure it was something like this:

What is and What Should Never Be
Black Dog
Good Times, Bad Times
Heartbreaker
Livin' Lovin' Maid
Ramble On
Whole Lotta Love
Communication Breakdown
Dancing Days
Immigrant Song
The Ocean
Houses of the Holy
Trampled Underfoot
Misty Mountain Hop
Kashmir
Over the Hills and Far Away
Rock and Roll
When the Levee Breaks

Other songs I really wanted to put on there:

Fool in the Rain
Tangerine
Dazed and Confused
Ten Years Gone
Stairway to Heaven
The Lemon Song
Moby Dick
All My Love
The Song Remains the Same
In the Evening
D'yer Maker
Babe I'm Gonna Leave You
Going to California

I'm thinking once I get back to my apt on Tuesday or Wednesday, I'll make a Beatles mix using only songs from their studio albums (no "Past Masters" or "Live at the BBC" or anything), but with none of the songs from the Red & Blue albums. It'd be like the "1" album, but more like "3" or "4."

I also prefer the Anthrax version..

el fregadero 02-25-2006 12:24 AM

I prefer it as well, because the bass is pretty sick in it. Also, usually in greatest hits they throw in some rarer songs to get the diehard fans to buy as well.

I like Rubber Soul but mostly like their stuff from Revolver and on.

el fregadero 02-25-2006 12:31 AM

True. Some great songs on it though, just kind of angered me at the time of posting. I forgive you, brother.

Triple A 02-25-2006 12:34 AM

Was gonna put Nowhere Man and Michelle but CUT THEM.

el fregadero 02-25-2006 12:36 AM

Should have dropped Yellow Subramine and Good Morning, Good Morning for Run For Your Life and Nowhere Man.

Triple A 02-25-2006 12:38 AM

Nah love both of those songs. VERY "TRIPPY".

el fregadero 02-25-2006 01:01 AM

Yeah I hear that. Also, considering I Want You (She's So Heavy) is the greatest song of all time it is pretty ridunkulous to have it absent as well.

Kane Knight 02-25-2006 10:05 AM

Okay, since these really aren't "greatest hits" as much as "best of," Here's my Type O Negative "Best of." It's limited because it's represented only by the tracks on my MP3 player (So I could easily tally time), and so a couple of tracks didn't make it I would have preferred.
