It's staged. They were trying to hype WrestleMania by showing people that wrestling is "real."

No, it wasn't staged. If you watch the clip again and look carefully, you can see blood on the back of Belzer's collar.

Belzer also sued Hogan over the incident and got an out of court settlement.

I think it was staged. He was in the hold for like 8 seconds, no real pressure was applied. If you actually start getting hurt most people squirm or something, this guy just decided to fall.

He's been on TV shows such as Homicide and Law and Order.

The guy also sued Hogan afterwards so I think that is proof that it's real.

Richard Belzer is the cousin of Henry Winkler, and was in Homicide: Life on the Street for the full seven seasons of its life. He is now in Law & Order: SVU. He also did stand-up comedy before he broke into drama. He's played his Detective John Munch character on a record-breaking number of shows or something.

And Belzer did sue Hogan over an incident, I'm not sure if it's that one (the video isn't working for me). I heard something about his arm being broken by a body slam, though.
