It hasn't been around for a while now but I was just wondering if there's anyone else out there who's a fan. I remember first catching it years ago doing late-night repeats on Paramount and I sorta latched onto what I thought was a neat idea - I can see now it was way ahead of its time.

For anyone who's never seen it it's basically a similar idea to something like The Office, it's a behind-the-scenes comedy about a talk show (i.e. Letterman, Leno, etc) and it's shot using a mix of documentary-ish 'real life' footage and actual 'on air' talk show footage. Worth a look if you've never seen it before.

I just watched through my 1st season DVD the other day and I really want the rest of the seasons to be released :mad:

Just started rewatching this show and it truly is brilliant. I was watching the Ricky Gervais Meets Garry Shandling episode and it made me want to watch Larry Sanders Show. It is amazing how much Jeffery Tambor's character Hank Kingsley is like David Brent from the Office. Even Ricky pointed out the similiarities. While I know this is an older topic, didn't want to create a new one. I highly recommend you check it out. The first season is only out on DVD, but you can torrent the other seasons.

Also while I think about it I read the other day there is a 4-disc best of set coming out in the States soon. It's not the full season sets though, so fuck em.

I recall hearing about season 2 getting released when Gary was on some talk show. But that was over a year ago, and has not been mentioned since then I don't think.
I got all the seasons on my computer but 4, having trouble getting that one which is making me angry.

finally got season 4 to download. serioulsy great shit. had a dream with jeffery tambor in it last night. LIke I was hosting a talk show here on my college campus and I demanded him as my sidekick. Lucky for me he was a teacher at my school, in my dream. My talk show bombed then. Good to know even in my dreams I'm a failure.
