Ask a dumb question...? Go on then

I'm probably a retard for not knowing this, but I only really bother with my PS2 for a bout a month once a year when the latest WWE game comes out so forgive my naivety, and I ain't searching this whole forum to see if this question has already been answered so... cue the humiliation...

is it possible to add your own ripped music to a PS2 game? As an example, if I wanted to add my own music files to Smackdown vs Raw 2006 (entrance music or whatever)? Is that do-able?

I appreciate the help!

There's a GameFAQs FAQ covering doing this (With a DVDR and a bit of work), but there's no conventional way, and I'm not sure if you can do it without a modded Ps2.

Xbox lets you do it.

Fuck Xbox.

Yeah, you'd also need a PS2 that can play mods. BAsically you'd be making a copy of the game, but replacing certain music tracks w/ whatever music you want to put in. Since the game is still a burn though, it has to be modded in some way.

'Swhat I thought. Thanks for clarifying. I never cared enough because it was too much effort from the FAQ. For the PS3, they need supprt for your own soundtracks and entrance themes and such.

I thought i red somewhere that they were going to include that into the PS3, probably just a rumor.

W/ the harddrive, I don't see why they wouldn't include it. Fuck, it should have full customization. I want to be able to upload logos and shit for sports teams and creating people into that thing.

So far, it's just a rumour. Nothing has been said. It probably will be true, but we have no evidence yet.

As WWKD said, I can't imagine them not.
