I get fed up with all the Russo hate as it always seems a little once sided, yes in WCW he made some stupid mistakes.
But he was sucessful in WWE because McMahon filtered everything, both Russo and WCW failes to recognise this until it was too late, Russo has a good wrestling mind, but it over produces crap, he needs someone to help him identify what the crap is. |

Yeah I listened to that WrestleCrap stuff a while ago. Makes you kind of change your perspective. Although I always thought the guy had a lot of talent. He just should od never been in charge. In WWF he did some great stuff but it had to go through Vince first.

To be honest, he still sounds like he's full of crap. He doesn't explain the reasoning behind any of the really bad angles that didn't work. And he spends a lot of the first part of the interview saying how you should never let the guys with wrestling backgrounds write the shows. According to Vince, they should book the matches and not have anything to do with storylines.
I'm actually disappointed that RD didn't take him to task for this. Maybe point out that wrestling guys like Paul Heyman handled writing duties fine or that the WWE's policy of hiring writers has completely backfired on them. Plus, RD himself points out in his Death of WCW book that all of Vince's claim about the big boost in ratings he got from his storylines were total bullshit. So no, he's not a bad human being. But he still refuses to take responsibility for the mistakes he made. |
David Arquette, need I say more?
