Ghostbusters 3

Does anybody here have a copy of the script Dan Aykroyd wrote in 1999 for Ghost Busters In Hell?

I know there were copies floating around on the net a few years back but I can't seem to find one now. Doesn't look like it's ever going to be made either :'(

RP 03-16-2006 03:36 AM

Yah let me get that for you.

weather vane 03-16-2006 05:11 PM

That would be sweet. I quite enjoyed those busters of ghosts.

YOUR Hero 03-16-2006 08:55 PM

They should have made like 90-91 movies in that series. That way, they would have been sure to have beaten that horse to death.

Kane Knight 03-16-2006 10:16 PM

Didn't they include the script on the new Ghostbusters 1+2 set?

Kapoutman 03-16-2006 10:36 PM

Nope. I have the new set and no script there.

NeanderCarl 03-16-2006 11:56 PM

YOUR Hero, how can you "beat the horse to death" by only making 2 movies? You've got an all-time classic, and then a nice little companion in the underrated sequel. Hardly squeezing every last drop out of it, is it?

And if they do eventually make a third, then it will be at least 18 years after the last one.... not exactly sucking the franchise dry, more simply an affection for the movies and a want to re-explore these characters again.

The way I see it, even a bad GhostBusters 3 movie would still entertain me and make me mark out more than any other movie I've seen in years, and would excite me more than any forthcoming movie I've heard about.

They'd need to come up with something that would make GB III a little more unique than GB II.

Granted, it wasn't as bad as MIB 2, but it was so similar to the original...

Fox 03-17-2006 12:52 AM

Fuck the Ghostbusters.

LOL Ghostbusters III.

That would probably be a terrible movie.

On what evidence?

It's not anime. :o

wwe2222 03-20-2006 12:55 PM

plus Harold Ramis weights about 300lbs now...hes no longer the slender looking Egon.

That being said, I wouldnt mind another Ghostbusters movie...I was a huge Ghostbusters fan of the movies and cartoon.

Gone Mad 03-20-2006 02:35 PM

And yea, I think all of them are in the 300 lb range now and alittle hairless, last I saw. It seems they could do a Space Cowboys 2 then a GB3, but still... I would like to see another one. I predict in the sequel they'd do some wacky pop culture crap in it like with Mr. Bobby Brown, but this time they'd have like 50 Cent or Good Charlotte as ghosts or some crap. So bring on Ghostbusters 3 anyways...

Then again, I'd like to see another Gremlins so what do I know.

NeanderCarl 03-20-2006 02:46 PM

Thing is, although a Gremlins 3 may be good, there haven't been any rumours about it, no script has ever been written for it, nor have deals attempted to be made with studios. My appetite has been whetted for GB3 though, because there was so much buzz about it for a while. My hopes were raised.

I think the writers are talented enough to get past the fact they have all aged a bit since the first one, and I guess any physical exertion on their part would be limited to just a few scenes.

The original idea was to have three new Ghost Busters, whilst the original four would basically run the company. The three were supposed to be Chris Rock, Chris Farley and Ben Stiller. (This was a while ago.)

Indifferent Clox 03-20-2006 02:53 PM

that would be great!

they should use Kevin James, ben stiller, and chris rock

alvarado52 03-20-2006 03:46 PM

hell no! Ben stiller, Vince Vaughn, and Chris Rock

Actually, I think Vaughn would be a great addition, bringing that sort of dry, sarcastic Bill Murray feel to the newer crew. Stiller would be fun too. Not sure about Chris Rock though. Hows abouts THE Rock?

Kane Knight 03-21-2006 09:18 PM

Chris Rock would blow chunks.

loopydate 03-21-2006 10:39 PM

I'd go with Vince Vaughn and the Wilson brothers, personally. Having Luke and Owen play sibling ghostbusters might make for some good comedy. Of course, Vince would be Venkman's protege since they have such similar delivery.

Loose Cannon 03-21-2006 10:40 PM

LOL Farley as a Ghostbuster. Oh man I would of probably died from laughing so hard.

OK, EVERYBODY TO THE BACK OF THE FOOD COURT!!!!! Ghostbusters coming through.

sees a ghost

HOLY SNIKES!!!!!

dives over a table to hide

I don't think anyone should be Peter's protegé.

Just get another bullshit artist involved.

Don't you mean diving onto a table and shattering it, causing David Spade, who just happened to be walking past to totally break character by laughing?

Fox 03-26-2006 09:24 PM

GHOSTBUSTERS RETURNS

Starring:

Will Ferrell

Vince Vaughn

Owen Wilson

and Dave Chapelle.

God that would be awesome.

NeanderCarl 03-28-2006 01:31 AM

Who's Dave Chappelle?

Anybody manage to track down this script yet or was it all talk? The script was definitely written, but I don't know if it was REALLY leaked online.

Where you live, you don't see a lot of minorities, do you? In person or on TV.

Huh? What makes you say that?

I live in a hugely multi-cultural city, actually. And there are plenty of "minorities" on television in the UK.

All I asked was who is Dave Chapelle?? Is he even on TV in the UK?

AlphaBean 04-07-2006 01:43 PM

I should have clarified... minorities in major roles, as stars or anything that doesn't perpetuate a stereotype.

samichna 04-07-2006 01:45 PM

rofl is this guy serious about Chappelle?

We certainly do. Our soap operas, regularly the highest rated prime time shows on UK television, mostly all feature minorities in big roles. Some of our most popular comedians are "minorities" (Lenny Henry, possibly the 80's most popular stand-up and huge contributor to Comic Relief, as an immediate example), including an Iranian comedian who is getting pretty big here at the moment. There is a huge and growing music scene of musicians, especially around London, who are black or otherwise "minority".

I currently date a girl who's mother is Malaysian and whose father is Welsh. I have Indian friends, Iranian friends, Chinese friends, Irish friends, English friends, Welsh friends, black friends, white friends... do NOT underestimate the U.K. for ethnic diversity, because you would be very surprised.

NeanderCarl 04-07-2006 01:53 PM

Anyway I just looked up Chappelle on Wikipedia. He hasn't appeared in much of anything that has been shown over here in the UK. Just coz we don't get his show doesn't mean we don't get ANY TV shows with black guys in them.

No I don't think I would be surprised.

http://www.blackpeopleloveus.com/

You've got black friends. Cool beans.

El Capitano Gatisto 04-07-2006 02:05 PM

I only know Chapelle as the wanker out of Con-Air.

NeanderCarl 04-07-2006 02:16 PM

Get a grip AlphaBeans! Just making a point.

You know? Like you were? Except mine is right, based on experience and fact, living in the UK as I do.

I'm not saying "oooooooooh look at ME! I'm with a BLACK GUY! I'm so FRESH!" or "An Indian Guy???? Can I be YOUR friend now please, mister??"

Whatever...

So.... Ghostbusters 3, yeah? No? yeah? No?

samichna 04-07-2006 02:23 PM

AlphaBeans

NeanderCarl 04-07-2006 02:39 PM

Alphabeens.

In some circles here, a "beens" is a euphemism for a woman. A woman is a "beens", always plural, even if it's just one woman.

So surely, AlphaBeens would be like the most womanly woman there is?
