Just Wondering if anyone else got this...

Apparently, I've won tickets to Wrestlmania in the "Big Time" promotion, but I'm just cynical enough to wonder if it's a phishing scam. Has anyone else gotten an email like mine? I just got it today and only have 3 days to respond.

Where'd you win the tix from?

If you didn't sign up for anything, and it's not from a WWE.com address, don't do anything as it's probably a scam.

I've been playing the game, but the only message I keep getting is "Sorry".

U.S. Residents:
You will be notified of your approval status once we have received and reviewed
your fully executed affidavits of eligibility. Your prize will be fulfilled
within 8 - 10 weeks after the conclusion of the promotion.

Two U.S. affidavits are in the attachment of this email. The first affidavit is
the Winner’s Affidavit. It must be completed by you, the prize winner. The
person who will be traveling with you must complete the second affidavit, named
the Travel Companion Affidavit. Please return the original completed copies,
signed and notarized, within the next three (3) days. If you do not return the
affidavits within this timeframe, another winner will be selected. You can find
the mailing address at the top of the Winner’s Affidavit.

Please be advised that there are tax ramifications that will result from your
receipt of this prize. If you choose to receive your prize, you will be sent a
1099 form at the end of this calendar year. Please consult a tax advisor for
further information about how to best address this issue.

Canadian Residents:

apparently, eprize does administer this sweeps, so this would seem to be legit. If you want to not be retarded, check out the rules as listed on the official "big time" site.

EH, here's my advice to you. Do it, but don't open the attatchment on your own computer. Go to a library or something to be on the safe side. If that actually is the company that administers the prizez, it should be okay, but still, don't open the attatchment on your own pc.

Anyway, sounds legit. You can always save the attachments then virus scan them if you're afraid of a virus, or open it in the library as someone else suggested.

If the forum looks suspicious (like put down your SSN or credit card number), it's prolly a scam. They better have a good reason if they ask for the credit card, btw.

If it's a standard address and contact sheet card, it should be okay, since anything who really wants to can obtain that info at any time.

It's legit, alright!

I just signed my liability/publicity release that came from Stamford. Once we fax these, we'll be sent our travel package.

and write out
