Loved. The first PPV I saw live on pay-per-view. I lost it when Warrior came flying down the isle.

Just watched it on DVD.
SID JUSTICE IS THE MAN AND THE MASTER AND THE RULER OF THE WORLD. 10 |
Gonna go with a 9. Worst Mainevent in WM history. Otherwise it would be a 10. Flair should've ME'd.
|
Another one I got on an old, old VHS
Hart/Piper and Flair/Savage are both masterclasses! 9 |
i just watched this on my WM anthology dvd and wondered why the owen/skinner match came after the title match between savage and flair and right before the sid/hogan match.

Possibly my favourite WrestleMania... first, it LOOKED like a WrestleMania in the Hoosier Dome... then you got Gorilla and The Brain on commentary... it was coming off the back of the greatest Royal Rumble of all time... Flair in his heelish prime taking on a still capable Randy Savage... what was being promoted as Hogan's last match, and the match itself would have been better if they had just had one man pin the other, ending a WrestleMania on a DQ was pathetic... Hart and Piper was awesome... this was probably my favourite era in WWF history, as I had only just started watching wrestling so I'm all sentimental about it, but also looking back today, there was a LOT of good going on in those days, and there were more genuine "superstars" around in early 1992 than perhaps at any other point in WWF/E history. The only thing that stops me giving it a 10 is the small amount of throwaway matches with little to no build up (Hart/Skinner, Martel/Tatanka, the 8-man tag) |

Wow this is the only Wrestlemania I have never seen any match from
|
Well I think almost everyone here would recommend checking out Savage/Flair and Piper/Hart.

9...but only because something inside of me won't allow me to rate an event with Ric Flair in a Main Event lower then that.
|
8.5... just for the Brain and Gorilla Monsoons call when Warrior is coming down... If you haven't noticed it before. It is Histarical.
|
Definite 9. First WM I ever watched and I used to watch it a lot when I was younger.
Just a comment on the Martel/Tatanka build-up, if I remember rightly, this was quite a long feud that started on Superstars over Tatanka's feathers being stolen and used as a fashion accessory by 'The Model'. Or I might be ahead of myself.... |
no, you're right.

oh yea, that's right. nice to see even minor feuds lasting that long back then
