The Godfather: The Game
 

I've heard this is pretty good. Even read some comments that it's
"everything GTA should be".

Most movie to videogame adapatations suck, but I've heard this is good stuff.

Sooo...anyone play it?

Doesn't come out for another couple of weeks. It went gold but stores dont have them yet.

It's at the stores (we got our copies two days ago) but it's street dated for like... the 21st I think?

I saw a preview of it last night. It doesn't look too bad, but it looks to me like another GTA clone with some (interesting) quirks.

If it is as good as Mafia was then I will buy it as fast as I can. Going to be waiting on reviews first.

Been playing it on PC. I love it thus far :D

Dear God, it's a good game. The only problem I have are the control system. Other than that, possibly the best game of the year.

It will definitley be overshadowed by Oblivion but I agree, it's a good game. I just wouldn't say GotY.

I'm thinking about getting the game from eBay since I'm trying to save money. So until I find one going cheap enough does anyone want to tell me fun things thats happened or any good features?

Great game and all. Only problem is repetitive shop layouts,compounds,warehouses, etc. They also throw in 100 film reels to find for some reason. I was hoping once you find them all you unlock the entire movie to watch. Other than that, great game. Be nice if they made part 2.

Why not, they threw in bits and pieces from the movie when you collected them and completed missions. Why not go the extra mile and throw in the movie. Sorta pointless to me.

I wish they had gotten consent to use the Pacino likeness in the game. It kinda ruins it when the character looks and sounds nothing like Pacino. Other than that, I had a lot of fun with this game.

Great fucking game. Only downfall is that Michael DOES NOT look or talk anything like Michael. I guess Pacino's price was too high

Nah it wasn't that, it was that he agreed to do Scarface and got a shit load of money to do it but had to sign a contract saying that during a certain time he couldn't lend his likeness to any other game (them knowing that EA was making the Godfather).

How in-depth is the Mob-Face thing and how much fun is extorting bussinesses?

You essentially create your own gangster but the basic face is always the same. Think of it as like NHL 06 create a player. And extorting business gets repetitive after awhile but fun.

Never played NHL 06 so I'm still lost.:$

As for the extroting bit, I'll still enjoy it.

Wait, so the feature is called Mob Face but the least customisable part is the face? :wtf:

You can adjust eye level, eye brow, nose all the facial features including hair and shit, but you can't change it all that much.

Been playing it most of the day. Bloody brilliant!
