Fuck ups.

O.K. This thread is for any fuck ups you may have noticed watching wrestling. And by fuck ups, I don't mean blown spots or moves. More on the production side of things. I'll give you a couple of examples:

Easy one. Wrong footage played on the TitanTron during Triple H's promo leading up to New Year's Revolution.

Charlie Haas' music being played at the end of a segment instead of Muhammed Haasan's.

More difficult one. Shane McMahon's theme music being played as Triple H came to the ring at Backlash 2001. (If anyone has this on video, check it out. You can clearly hear the hip-hop beat while Motorhead is being played. It stops after about 5 seconds).

Backstage segment at WrestleMania XIX with the Muller Lite Cat Fight Girls and Torrie Wilson and Stacey Kiebler. After they walk off-screen, you hear a director say something like "O.K Great" before they cut-away to a shot of SafeCo Field. (It's on the live version, probably edited out for the WWE Home Video release).

So, any that you have noticed, stick them here.

Eugene being halfway down the aisle before that start his music at Mania 21.

Chris Masters saying he was going to be WW champion at New Years Resolution. Not sure if this screw up was intentional or not, but still stands out a bit.

Evolution 03-19-2006 07:10 PM

What's the screw up? He just said WW? No E? Or F? Or the fact he called it Resolution instead of Revolution?

Xero 03-19-2006 07:19 PM

When Kane went to do his pyro on Unlimited but it didn't go off. Both he and show almost burst out laughing.

I remember Christian doing a walk through to the stage and then the director saying "okay let's do that again" and he walked back.

A few weeks ago Triple H's tron was playing for someone else.

There are others, I just can't remember them right now.

The screw up was he said "I'm going to be WW champion at New Years Resolution" That's what I remember hearing clearly that day during the elimination chamber time attacks.

Wrong TitanTrons seem to be quite common. They leave the previous Tron playing too long but the music starts O.K. And it always seems to be Triple H's whenever it's the wrong one as well.

Dorkchop 03-19-2006 08:27 PM

One time I heard a ref yell to Big Show "Side slam" and then Big show did a side slam.

One time I was at Smackdown, and during the Heat tapings the lights went down, then purple for a few seconds.

One time I was at Raw and Tazz actually had a match. His pyro didn't go off, but a sound effect did. It was pretty sad.

I beleive the sound effect is actually part of his theme music, for whatever reason

Ummm at the rumble this year when HHH eliminated big show and Kane he lied down next to ray and said SPINEBUSTER and then did one.... You can hear it quite clearly.. Did anyone else notice that?

There is a bit floating on Limewire where Hogan just keeps fucking up his words... over and over. I don't remember if it was televised, or just a bit at the end of a show or something, but I'm thinking it was televised. He keeps having to restart and repeat himself, but messes up again. At one point he says "if you think I was the right gay.. guy.. at the right place..."

Then there was Sid's "Shit, let's do this over..", when I think JR says "This is live pal!''

Foley falling through the cell was amazing as it stands, but the fact that him falling through wasn't supposed to happen makes it even more remarkable.

Goldberg spearing himself into the ringpost and knocking himself out cold. That was pretty damn funny. Sad, but funny. We've seen that spot a million times, but never would I though someone would actually knock themselves out for REAL.

The One 03-20-2006 03:27 AM

I am SHOCKED that no one has mentioned the SHOCKING enterence of someone...what was his name? I know he would SHOCK the world because he was none other then...uh...name's lost on me now.

Oh and best "Fuck up" ever was Bobby "The Brain" Heenan saying "What the fuck are you doing?" on live Nitro.

at SNME when HBK was walking to the ring from the back Vince was walking right past him. Did anyone else notice this?

ROFL, I just went back and yeah, Vince walked right past him!

(Or at least someone who looks a lot like him.)

wwe2222 03-20-2006 11:14 AM

the masterpiece's pyro at this years royal rumble. It barely squirted out

blake639raw 03-20-2006 12:05 PM

Randy Orton's botched RKO against Chris Jericho. He completely missed it the first time, then gets right back up, runs against the ropes, and hits it. I believe it was Orton/Batista/Flair vs. Jericho/RVD.

It's just another of his ways to hold down wrestlers!!! When they are coming to the ring, all you're thinking is that Triple H's tron was still playing.

My main one is when Ken Shamrock told his sister to slap him. It wasn't quiet, it was loud, and the camera was on him. I think it was Rumble '99, but can't be absolutely sure.

St. Jimmy 03-20-2006 02:53 PM

Rey + Main Event. =D

but in all seriousness, i still think every womans match from the past year and a half has had somekind of a botch in it.

Yeah, but it sounded a lot louder in ratio to the music as it did any other time I heard his theme.

All I know is that I was very upset to not see his pyro hit. Worst of all, he lost to Kidman in very short amount of time.

St. Valentine's Day Massacre, Feb 14th 1999, Ken Shamrock vs Val Venis w/ Ryan Shamrock, with Billy Gunn as the special referee, if my memory serves me correctly.

RVDmark 03-21-2006 07:18 AM

I was at Rebellion in the UK 2003(I Think) and all the Tron screens went out including the repeater screens for the crowd in the upper seating. They were out for about 10 minutes and when they came back there was a windows professional logo on them till they booted up. Also the crowd were cheering for Angle the entire time he was in the ring even tho at the time he was meant to be heel (Ok that happened a lot but I was there so I noticed:) ).

I think it was 2003 Dave Youell was there as I remember seeing his sign in the crowd.
