I seen the preview trailers for this movie and instantly hated it;

I'm from the south, and trust me, I'm far from being an ignorant redneck. It's "Larry the Cable Guy" and other such morons that give people from the south bad stereotypical reps[see, you can be from the south and spell a word over four letters ;) ].

Not all "southern" comedians are ignorant like Larry TCG. Bill Engvall, Ron White, and Jeff Foxworthy are all much better at their craft than TCG.

Take a look at Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson, et al. Their fame is solidly based on the fact that they make themselves appear like complete morons. Larry the Cable Guy does it for comedy sake, Paris Hilton for popularity sake. The worst thing about it is that it isn't a new thing. It isn't a fad. People in general for a long long time use and have used stupidity to climb social ladders. It's pathetic.

Yeah, why this fucktard gets a movie but Conan doesn't just goes to show how fucked up "comedy" is these days.

I don't want to turn this into a political argument here, but I do think that this trend certainly does extend to Washington. People get elected by being "plain folks" and "like y'all," while being "intellectual" is used as criticism.

I don't know when it happened that all of a sudden it was better to be at or below average than to be above it, but it really bothers me as someone that most people consider one of those "intellectual types."

I don't mind a good fart joke every now and then, but I don't care for bad fart jokes all the time.

^ Exactly. I love the Zucker Brothers' movies, particularly "Airplane!" That movie contains a sight gag of shit literally hitting the fan. I crack up at that, because it's a well-timed joke and it's being executed by funny people.

But fat people talking about "fartin' so big yer back cracks" isn't funny.
