Mysterio no longer wants Eddie chants...
Quote:
I guess either Rey or WWE had enought of the 'Eddie chants'. Maybe that was just a one off, but it's wierd that they mentioned it. :-\ I do believe Rey deserves his own chant. But I think now that the 'Eddie' chants will follow him everywhere. The fans just want to show their love and respect for Eddie Guerrero, and Rey and Chavo are the people they want to show their love too. |
i guess he's tired of riding eddie's coattails. maybe chavo will stop it too
|
It's different with Chavo since they are related.
I'd rather hear Chavo and Rey chants myself though. |
About bloody time...
|
Everyone in Memphis tonight will probably start some kind of Eddie chant.
Way to ruin my first Supershow, Memphis. :foc: |
Well, it was okay for the Eddie chants at first but it is I'm not sure how to say time to move on?
When Bret Hart wrestled after Owen died, you do not see fans chanting for Owen right? Just as an example. So it should stop but I do not think it will until after Wrestlemania |
The WWE may have fucked themselves over. They have associated Rey so much with Eddie now that the fans are going to chant for Eddie for a LOOONG time.
Could you imagine that if he wins the title he gets an Eddie chant? That will be a sign of trouble... |
If? How are people doubting this. I think it is pretty much a guarantee that Rey Mysterio is going to win the title at Mania.

And it only took 4 months.

I wouldn't mind if he died that though. What he was doing was raping Eddie's legacy and milking it to further his own career. Sell out. |

I hope nobody ever chants Rey's name. Face it, if Eddie hadn't died Rey wouldn't be here. Rey milked the death of his friend, went along with storylines that talked about hos Eddie was burning in hell, continues to wear EG arm bands, and has made it clear he is the face to cheer for if you loved Eddie Guerrero. I had so much respect for Rey Mysterio for years. Now, I think he is a sell out, and what's worse, he sold out and made his career move off of his best friends death.
I KNOW WWE wouldn't have fired Rey if he didn't agree to be a part of Eddie burning in hell, and even if he was he could walk into a very nice check from TNA or any promotor across the planet. No amount of fame or money would ever allow me to sell out the legecy of my best friend. Rey did it, and is now shocked and shaken that he lost his identity...well he gained Eddie's and that's a legacy I don't think Mysterio deserves to hold. |
That's right. Shout an audience into respecting someone. You'd have thought Kurt would have learnt from his 'no-heat' experiences that only the women and kiddies can be sheep herded into doing stuff.
Mysterio has made his own bed over Eddie, and I won't ever respect him. Next we'll have Angle on the mike shouting 'its time we stopped looking at Rey as a short 150 pound show-pony with no business in the main event and started treating him like a monster'. |
I think Kurt was just trying to help a lost cause.
|
Kurt failed attempts to help lost causes...
*Having people cheer Mysterio for him and not for Eddie *Save SmackDown from being boring *Getting John Cena cheered It hasn't been an easy year for old Angle. |
You know, they've done this well with getting Rey over using Eddie... What's going to happen when he turns heel, if he does? If he went this far, I could see him going as far as using Eddie to get over as a heel next...
|
Mysterio hasn't been a heel...well...ever as far as I know. What makes you think that's going to change soon?

My guess is this whole Eddie shit is what turns him in the end anyway. Then again, they may just leave him face forever. |

Holy fuck, you can't have things both ways. The WWE spends three months convincing WWE fans that they should chant "Eddie, Eddie, Eddie" when they see his family or closest friends in the ring. Hell, I still see Mysterio doing the Eddie shoulder shake thing.
---------------------------------------------------------------------- FUck, I bet the only reason they are doing this is because they are NOT putting the World Heavyweight Title on Mysterio. Even though, that has been only build-up to the Wrestle Mania main event. |
Fuck Rey Mysterio. He's been so busy milking Eddie's memory, now the only respect he gets is in the form of Eddie chants.
Good on Angle to do it, for whatever reason. |
Quote:
OK, not really, but I'm sure that's happened somewhere. :shifty: |
I think it would be more likly that they call him Eddie Mysterio.
|
If Rey didn't want the chants, maybe he should fucking dance like him for his comeback spot!
|
I think the chants might be less frequent if he stopped dooing the Latino Heat gimmick moves, Eddie's finisher, pointing to the sky, and wearing an EG armband.

Rey is well and truly fucked and quite frankly, he deserves it. |
Any way you look at it, there is going to be HUGE Eddie chants at Mania. It may spell the end for Mysterio's identity.

Well, I don't think we should be THAT antagonistic toward Rey. The report said Angle called for a Rey chant, not Rey himself, so maybe it was something management requested.
Yes, he deserves some blame for this whole thing, but we shouldn't be treating him like he's some evil greedy guy. |
On the one hand its good to still involve Eddie and to kinda keep him alive, but you dont wanna asccosiate Eddie with rey all the time, I gotta say that because of a slight overkill of the whole Pointing to the sky/frog splash thing, he kinda bought it on himself.
|
lol i said this like 3 months ago on here and i got raped by everyone
|
3 months ago it was a different story. Now it's pathetic.

WCW doesn't count.

Mysterio wasn't in the New Bloods (I think you're thinking about Billy Kidman). And I'm sorry, do you really think that the Filthy Animals were heels, the closest they were to being heels was when they were fueding with Mysterio. When Rey-Rey came on board they were faces.
Oh I mean WCW doesn't count... :shifty: |
