It's 1995, and why is Hogan wearing nWo colours? :wtf:

And the mummy humping Hogan, well, I don't know what to say about that

This was Halloween Havoc 1995 between The Giant(Big Show) and Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight title where Jimmy Hart (Hogan's manager at the time) turns heel and joined "Taskmaster" Kevin Sullivan and the Dungeon of Doom. Hart supposedly added a hidden stipulation that if Hogan (who was champion) was DQ'ed he would LOSE the title. That result happened and Giant became the new champion. WCW execs later strip the title from The Giant and declare the winner of the World War 3 battle royal that year (Which would end up being "Macho Man" Randy Savage, although that was supposedly controversial since Hogan was never officially eliminated.) to be the new champ.

On a side note... I have NO FUCKING CLUE what was up with the mummy. :wtf: :shifty:

and with Hogan wearing all black I don't know that either :?:

Drakul 03-28-2006 10:55 PM

I was hoping for a "Thriller" dance with Hogan and Jimmy Hart and the Mummy etc.

The Show Off 03-28-2006 11:13 PM

Hogan was wearing nWo colors at that time because Hogan's character was supposed to be edgy because of the Dungeon of Doom so he put away the Red and Yellow until he was rid of the dungeon.

The mummy was "The Yeti" played by Ron Reis, who would later be "Reese" in Raven's WCW Flock. He was supposed to be the Dungeon of Doom's newest monster, but they realized that...he's a mummy. The layers and layers of wrapping made him pretty much as immobile as...well...Hulk Hogan.

I think he made one more appearance at that year's World War III before spending a little time as "Ron Studd" (supposedly Big John Studd's son. Studd trained him, but there was no relation that I'm aware of), then becoming Reese.

The Genius 03-28-2006 11:27 PM

whoa yeti=reese from ravens flock.

Dorkchop 03-28-2006 11:57 PM

It looked like the Yetay was humping Hogan.

ROFLMAO, geez, it's little things like this that make wrestling fans ashamed to be wrestling fans. I'd say no wonder WCW went out of business, but this was during when they were winning, so I guess they were just retarded.

How tall is this Ron Reis guy? *nvm, just checked OWW* He's 7'2", even tho he looked significantly taller than Paul Wight. Wow.

Boondock Saint 03-29-2006 01:27 AM

In a typical WCW move, they missed Luger first turning too. And why the hell did Savage all of a sudden hit the floor like he did?

Xero 03-29-2006 07:01 AM

What is that, the Mummy Hump? :wtf:

I noticed Hart hit him or something when he went down. I had to watch it twice because I thought he just ran into the ropes and fell.

McLegend 03-29-2006 12:22 PM

That was awsome when Goldberg Jackhammered Reese on the Stop sign on Nitro.

Actually, this was pre-NWO so the WWF was still kicking their ass. but this whole time period is all fucked up. Joh Tenta as Man-Shark. I believe the Dungeon of Doom even had a hunchback and a leprechaun at some point. Just all :wtf: :nono: :?:

I miss the flock.

Chico 03-30-2006 09:03 AM

Why was the Yeti (oops, I mean Yetay) called that? He looked more like a mummy than the Abominable Snowman.

And LOL at the Yetay's offense.

Um, no. WCW started winning around 1998/1999, way after this Dungeon of Doom crap.

Loose Cannon 03-30-2006 10:48 PM

yea, this was pretty awesome until that weird double hump. Hart and Luger turned. But yea, they totally missed Luger's turn.

The Naitch 03-30-2006 10:50 PM

Hart? Or is the 1995 label wrong on the title?

Loose Cannon 03-30-2006 10:51 PM

Jimmy Hart, not Bret.

McLegend 03-30-2006 10:51 PM

Jimmy Hart
