anyway, what do you commonly say when people find out you like wrestling as to defend it? what are some common responses you get to their discovery?


"Yeah but it's fake!"

I usually say, "it's preplanned but it's not as fake as friends or any other tv show. Even the News."

We've talked about this a million times, but I say it's scripted, not fake. What they do is real, but the actual contact and injuries is as real as any other sport.

i ask them if they watch the simpsons

99% of people say yes

and then i say "OMG SIMPSONS IS FAKE AND YOU WATCH IT"

I basically tell them that it's the same as watching an action movie. The guys are trained "stunt" professionals, and the outcome of the story is predetermined. However, like with stuntwork, the risks are real and so are the injuries.

...except when they're not.
