So, Trips is too bad to be a face?

I read a little bit of "Classy" Fred Blassie's book, who was one of the biggest heels of the 50's, 60's, and 70's.

It would later go on to say...

I think, based on this, that it is possible for Trips to turn face. After all, most of us seen it with Ric Flair and, to a lesser extent, Kurt Angle. Discuss.

Nah, Trips has been face before, and undoubtedly will be again, before he hangs 'em up.

Triple H can turn on a dime. I don't see why this is even discussion-worthy, honestly. I mean, no shit. People only need to pay attention to WRESTLING to understand Trips can turn face.

Agreed.

I based this on an earlier post about the rumored Trips/Cena Double-Turn and there were people complaining that Hunter has "Done too many bad things" to turn face. That was the entire basis of this post.

Ultimately, I agree with you.

The Great One: The Rock
King of Men (Kings): Triple H
Wrestling God: JBL

Wow.

Wow.

Flair also used the great one, or maybe it was "the most electrifying superstar", but I know it was one of those.

Edit...

My bad. I think it was the "People's Champion".

Point being lots of guys take from other guys.

Oh yeah, I know that. I was just making an observation.

I figured as much. My own post would've actually been a lot better if I knew for sure which one it was. Woulda been a nice random tidbit to add. Ah well.

I have no doubt on the can part, its the wanting to part I wonder about

Okay, let me clarify my position, then. HHH can turn very easily. It's sustaining himself as a face that I can't see him doing.

Right. Because the only credible heel left in the business is HHH. If he turns face, he'll just squash a million coward heels with one swat and the world will yawn.

Innovator 03-31-2006 04:10 PM

HHH would be able to turn on a dime, much like Reggie Bush

Pretty much. HHH sucks as a long-term face.

This is true. But the same could be said for the faces on Raw, too. If Trips stays heel, and then dispatches Cena at Backlash as we all assume, who does he feud with next? HBK (again)? Maybe RVD? Maybe Big Show (again)? Mick Foley (again)? The WWE has done such a poor job of building up anybody that Trips as a face as a few months will probably make as much sense and draw as many fans as Trips as a heel.

Volare 03-31-2006 06:18 PM

i think the fans are gonna cheer like they did at WM 18

just because WE WANT A DIECENT CHAMP!! *IMO he's better than cena*
