I mean, honestly. Is Vince so thick-headed that he refuses to be beaten by the fans and wants to keep Cena champion just to prove to us that he makes his stars?

Is Hunter so egotistical that he actually gave up on losing the WWE championship to stay heel?

Or is there a bigger scene to this whole picture that I'm missing?

YOUR not missing anything, however vince is....its called common sense. I thought mania was pretty good...till the title matches. Vince isnt used to being beaten, just look at WCW and ECW and every other indy fed he ate alive. the fact that his new enemy is the fans he has to cater to, pisses him off as its the ONE thing that was never supposed to turn on him....to this extent at least.

YOUR acting like this is something new. The WWF/E has had a grudge against the fans for ages. It's just now so loud that there's little they can do to fight it.

yea, ever since we were forced to watch SCSA assulat JR in its full 20 min entierity 17 times in one week, thats when it started to just get bad leading into the worse that is now....like star wars movies

HHH/HBK DX version 100.5.... so Trips might end up as face... who knows.

I'm gonna let this unfold before I pass judgement on it. There could be bigger plans down the line. For all we know, RVD could be lined up to be the next champ and HHH didn't want to be a transitional champion.

I gotta disagree on the Hunter part. I mean, only a cynic would say Hunter is selfish for choosing not to win the belt just to stay heel. :lol:

I loved the way the WWE tried to turn get us behind John Cena by making him seem "edgy" when the lack of edge his why the fans boo him in the first place. They make him out to be controversial, but it is so easy to picture him hugging grandmothers in his spare time.

Anyone sense some kind of misinterpretation of the fans on WWE's part. They're not against John Cena because of his opponents, they're behind his opponents because of John Cena. The WWE knows this, they are trying to paint a different picture and I have a feeling it will explode on them. Hopefully they have RVD win the title on RAW. It's the only way any of this could be redeemed. It was the right choice to have Cena retain at WrestleMania, in my opinion, but I don't think they should keep pushing him as unbeatable. Have him drop the title, ASAP.

Cena needs to go down while people still care at all. Just don't do it to Hunter after the Mania showing.
