The next GTA revealed?

http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=63598

The next instalment in the Grand Theft Auto series will be titled GTA: Vice City Stories - at least, that's if three new applications filed with the US patent office are anything to go by.

Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two, filed three patents for the GTA: VCS name. The first refers to a game, while the second applies to the right to use the name on merchandising. The third, rather interestingly, hints that a Vice City Stories movie or TV show could be in development.

Course, it could be that Rockstar is simply protecting its ownership rights to the VCS name - or, and this isn't much of a stretch for the imagination, that the follow-up to PSP title Liberty City Stories will indeed be set in the familiar territory of Vice City. Our money's on the latter, but let's wait and see what pops up at E3, shall we...

GTA - Lancaster

And, yeah, I imagine VCS will be a PSP game.

D Mac 04-04-2006 01:56 AM

Speaking of GTA:LCS there was a bus driver over here that got fired for playing it on his PSP as he drove a bus. Not sure if he was playing AS he drove or if he was playing, like at the traffic lights or whatever though.

:y:

That was my entire reason to buy a PSP to be honest. Now I don't have to waste my money. (Just yet, anyway.)

Boondock Saint 04-04-2006 10:55 AM

Was Liberty City any good?

D Mac 04-04-2006 04:19 PM

Yeah it's pretty good. You play as Tony Ciprianni. The city is exactly like GTA 3 with a few minor differences. But new missions and music. Of course.

Im hoping for ps3 GTA (which will be released in 2007) to be set in Texas-Mexico-Bogota

Drakul 04-07-2006 11:17 PM

I read in a mag called PLAY that with the space PS3 has they could make 10 full-sized cities, which would basicly act as the whole of America.I'd scan it but my scanners not hooked up.
I haven't read the whole article but it just says that theres enough space for over 200 songs, 11 stations etc.

Kane Knight 04-08-2006 12:26 AM

GTA: VErmont. It's small enough you could fit the entire state in the game without loading times.

Destor 04-08-2006 01:12 AM

GTA: ROAD ISLAND (2 hour play time)

Kane Knight 04-08-2006 01:15 AM

Wow. The only game where the play area is the size of a city block.

Skippord 04-08-2006 01:23 AM

Speaking of the PS3 GTA. San Andreas took up 4.2Gb and thats as far as a PS2 could go but PS3 disc will have 50Gb so that should tell you how big it should be.

mitchables 04-09-2006 12:08 AM

Take that shit international like they did with London 1969. :(

GTAustralia would sell millions. Thelma and Louise-style police chases abound as you blaze down the long and boring Bruce Highway down the east coast of Australia, and then drive into the bush to murder some back-packers :'(

Savio 04-09-2006 12:09 AM

GTA: Moon

mitchables 04-09-2006 12:17 AM

You just... you always have to take it too far, don't you Carrington.

Xero 04-09-2006 01:21 AM

If they spent like 5+ years on it, and they called it "GTA: Earth" and was like literally the size of the world, I'd be willing to wait and pay upwards of $100, as long as it had like 1000 Hours of gameplay PLUS online play. It would be the ultimate fucking game.

It'd be a bitch to swim all the way from the US to the UK, though. :shifty:

One day xero......one day.

Next GTA Confirmed!

GTA: Bedrock!
http://img157.imageshack.us/img157/50/yabba2vq.jpg

The next GTA game has been revealed as GTA:Bedrock. Players will take the roll of Freddy Flinttini, a prehistoric crime lord.
After being put away for the mass murder of two families and then stealing there car and clothes (Pictured above), he breaks free and must discover who told the cops and then get revenge.
The game will feature realistic Bedrock characteristic such as the same 3 streets repeating themeselves constantly as you run from the police.
Guns have been replaces by "Buns" which are Birds acting as guns. They will have a mouth full of rocks for you to fire. Once you are finishes shooting rocks out your buns it will say "It's a living!!" before sitting quietly in your pocket.
Rockstar have let a few features slip! two of the features are:
- The ability to feed young children to dinosaurs
- Clubbing your girlfriend on the skull, complete with comedic "Clunk" sound effect before she falls face down to the ground, bleeding from the ears.

They could have gone further with GTA SA. Lazy programming.

Xero 04-09-2006 01:24 PM

Wasn't SA on a dual layer DVD? Or was that just a rumor? Because I remember, before it came out, that people were upset that some PS2s don't play dual layered DVDs...

You really think they'll make the main character black again?

The Show Off 04-19-2006 01:24 AM

When GTA: San Andreas came out I predicted that the next GTA would be GTA: Tokyo or something having to do with Japan, and it taking place in the near future like 2020 or something so they have semi-futuristic weapons and automobiles.
