Wrestlers/Teams you couldn't believe were faces.
Like the Nasty Boys or Natural Disasters. Wrestlers that surprisingly got cheered. Ones that you think didn't fit the "good guy" image.
Also, would you think Stone Cold would be a good example? Or was he meant to be a fan favorite all along? |
Regardless of his talents, I thought it was fucking insane that the WWF did these awesome vignettes for Nathan Jones and he debuted as a face as the Taker's pal.
|
Yeah. Nathan Jones was a big surprise. I was expecting Psycho Sid from Downunder.

I can only imagine they weren't expecting DDP to get such a good reaction when he first entered into that ridiculous stalker angle with the Undertaker.
I certainly wasn't expecting to react so well to his second 'motivational speaker' gimmick either. Man, that shit was funny. And that's a good thing! |
The Boogeyman surprises me because everyone was saying how stupid the gimmick is going to be. He looked really stupid and hiis promos were retarded. Scaring Teddy Long all those weeks was so bad, it wasn't even cheesey. But for some reason everyone started to cheer him. It's probably one of the most ridiculous things the WWE has followed through on in years. Why the hell do we like him? He sucks in the ring, and everyone shits all over John Cena because he's not a great wrestler.

I miss DDP.

DDP Didn't need a gimmick to get over, stupid WWE.
|
The fans turning supreme heel Jake Roberts face was nuts. But he went on to be a great face, so it was all good.
|
I couldn't believe that 9-1-1 was so over in ECW. I never cared much for him.
