Fitness thread
Hey, Anyone into bodybuilding and such? I just thought i'd make a thread to discuss what training and such you do..what suplements you take and what not.
I take creatien, Protein shakes work out like 4 times a week and am getting really into this bodybuilding lark. |
pics
also, cheers, you kinda answered something i was wondering about, with the creatine and protein at once thing. |
pics? And what did you want to know about the creatien protein thing?
|
i was wondering if its worth taking both at once cause i haven't heard mmuch of people doing that. all i know is creatine sticks more water in your muscles so you can work longer and protein helps repair the muscles, so it seemed like a smart enough idea.
|
Mask there's nothing wrong with creatine and protein at the same time. If you work out you should be taking some post-workout protein anyways.
|
Protein is key. I just get a lot of protein and take Glutamine as a side item. I don't mess with Creatine, just a personal choice though.
Right now I'm working out three times a week, eventually I plan on working out 5 times. Biceps, triceps, shoulders, lats, back, chest, abdomen is what I'm keying on right now. I don't really do much leg work because I run a lot with ball and between that, walking to and from classes everyday, I'm good right now. I figure I might eventually start working legs too though. What kind of weights do you use? Machine? Free? I kind of mix it up a bit. I like to do dumbells when I do bench (regular, incline, and decline) now. Back in high school I was all about the machine weights and all that but now I realize it doesn't really tone you up, which I'm going for. It's pretty funny when you see guys who can bench press 300+ on the bar, but get them on dumbells and they can't do much at all. |
I stopped taking creatien while back and noticed all the muscle mass I built got lost very quickly. It works real well when on it but a month or two afterwards and you'll notice how quickly you decline. Protein is clutch though. Also you MUST drink at least 2L of water if you're using creatien to flush out your kidneys.
Right now im extremely fit from the jujitsu and muay thai but again I lost a lot of muscle mass. Once my exams are over though I plan on working out 3-5 days a week heavy weights as well as Muay Thai. Im also considering taking NOXplode and perhaps Andro but I haven't decided yet. |
Anyone take steriods?

I'm thinking about going back on creatine, the first time I took it I saw a lot of results (I took CellTech) then when I took for a second time, I didn't really think it did as much (I took V12 the second time) I'm up for trying another brand but I dunno what the best is. I've heard a lot about No-Xplode, so I might try that out. Since school is kinda winding down, its a perfect time to start lifting heavily again.
|
I took V12 too and it was shit. I saw barely anything at all.
|
Gertie is hardcore into working out.
I've pretty much stopped lifting weights cause the muscles mass hurts my running and i needed to drop weight. I run distance races. MY calves are as hard as rocks. I run 10-15 km a day, plus bike ride, plus rollerblade when i have time |

LOL no. I have a few friends who have before. I don't advise it at all. I hope that was a joke actually.
|
Yea I know quite a few people who take steriods. Pretty amazing results.

You asked if anyone is taking them currently. By leaving your question very vague, you are forcing me to imply that you are either a. interested in knowing the results, b. interested in knowing people's experiences with them, or c. interested in using them yourself; and possibly all three. In my opinion, anyone who takes steroids doesn't have a tough enough mindset to do the work to get the results in an honest and positive way.
|
steriods defeat the purpose of working out, atleast for me. Sure, I work out for results like muscle mass and all that shit, but I also work out so I stay healthy. Steriods give you great results muscle wise, but the health risks are ridiculous
|
That's a good point too. I don't really have much use for people who take steroids. I have three friends who did. Now they are just acquaintances I guess. I don't go out of my way to hang out with them, although friend 1 was the only guy I was really tight with.
Friend 1 was 6'0" 160 pounds or so before taking them. He shot up to 180 or so and was pretty ripped up. He got real edgy though and snapped at everything. He already had a temper, so this was just like a catalyst. Friend 2 was 6'2" 150 pounds or so. He took them and...didn't work out. He just took them for some reason? I think he might have just because the other two were? Not sure... Friend 3 was already ripped before he got on the juice. He's about 5'11" 180. He got on it and just became a huge dickhead. He snaps at everybody. Almost saw him rip #2's head off, although he did deserve it. Dunno, having a huge mean streak to get huge and ripped doesn't equal out to me. |
Steriods do that to a person. Called roidrage. Everyone I know who has done steriods develops a REAL short fuse.
