WRESTLEMANIA IN ENGLAND?!
Just head a report on the radio saying Wrestlemania is coming to London some time.
That's all I've heard, so I'll wait for some more evidence before belieiving it. |
"Sometime" could be WrestleMania 48.
|
They said it as if it was fairly soon.
|
I still say they can't pull it off.
|
You sure they weren't talking about the wrestlemania revenge tour?(or whatever its called)
|
The presenter just apologised and said he got confused with the Wrestlemania Tour. |
Thought so. :D

With a time delay, no, they can't pull off a huge PPV. It was much different in the early 90s, spoilers didn't get out as easily and as fast as they do now.
|
Why need a time delay? They can put it on over here at say 9-10 and you yanks get it at like 4-5 wehat's the problem? Aoprt from yanks always think they should have everything there own way!
Drunken rant lol :D |
There's a six hour delay, if they put it on at 9 there (and lasting until 1AM or so), it would have to air at 3 ON THE EAST COAST, it would air at 12 on the west coast. I don't see them doing something like that to the country that they're based out of and have made a household name for themselves in.
I could see them pulling off a band-only PPV, but never one of the Big Four again. I'm not saying it's impossible, but from a business standpoint (live buyrate and such), it's not a good idea. |

If you don't want to know what happened then don't read the spoilers.

The presenter was Patrick Kinghorn on talksport.
I always knew he was dumb. |
Mania would never make it over here. Maybe another Summerslam or one of the lesser ppv's but not Mania.

2 - You really anyone would care if the show was on a 2 hour tape delay? 3 - If they did Mania on a Sunday night where we have a bank holiday possible, they could still run it at the time they do now with no delay and people will come. They have already proven it for Joe Calzaghe and Ricky Hatton that late night/early morning shows for American TV can still work. |
Ye exactly rob! How many ppl stayed up too watch hatton fight! i know nearly every pub was jam paxcked at like 2 in the morn for the fight! And if it wasn't a bank holiday they could move it to a saturday! im sure having it on a sat rather than a sunday would draw more anyway!
|
Bows down before the mention of Ricky Hatton
|
They mentioned the Wrestlemania/Smackdown Revenge at Wembley next week
Which got me thinking "Hold on a smidge - is the stadium even up and running?" Since wasnt work still going on for England internationals and the FA Cup and shit? |
Yeah I mentioned in a thread a few weeks ago that they do boxing events here to suit the US audience. It could work easily over here, wouldn't be much of a problem IMO. It is Wrestlemania, people would come at any time of day to watch it. And it's the fans' responsibility to organize a day off the next Monday. Imean, people with a ticket WOULD have months in advance to organize one...

LOL at all the british/english/get over it if i didnt get ur nationality right, lingo in here
|
yeah lol @
A) WrestleMania in the Eastern Hemisphere in the near future and B) retarded crooked teeth lingo |
I don't know what's the arguing about anyway since it's never gonna happen on the principle that Vince McMahon just will not take it out of North America.
In the event that it did, the only place he could really do it and make money would be at Wembley Stadium. And that building probably won't be finished until 2035 with the way things are going. |
