I'd pay $6000 just to see the Arm Wrestling match. But not just ANY arm wrestling match, an EXTREME, CAGED Arm Wrestling Match!

Kane Knight 04-21-2006 10:51 AM

Why should I?

Except, of course, for that EXTREME CAGE MATCH.

Londoner 04-21-2006 10:53 AM

Erm, so Daniels goes through all that to get the X-division title, and then loses it straight away and now the best they can do for him is giving him a 'mystery opponent' storyline. That's the worst thing they could've done with him.

Anyway, i wont have to order it as we get it on TWC a week later, which will be on the same night as Backlash, so haha@all of you who have to order it.

He (Daniels) was originally scheduled to face Jushin 'thunder' Lyger at Lockdown for the X Division Championship. Jushin ended up being double booked (or sumthin) and decided to do the other show. So for some reason they decided to give the title back to Joe (presumably to show that the X Title isn't just for Lightweights) and here we are.

Hopefully Daniels and his opponent will have a 2 out of 3 Falls..

ARM WRESTLING MATCH  :shifty:

loopydate 04-21-2006 11:08 AM

I think we can assume that the Team Canada members will be A1, Bobby Roode, and Eric Young, since Petey Williams is in the Xscape match and I haven't seen Johnny Devine in months.

I won't be ordering it, but I am curious what's going to happen. I'm glad Abyss is finally getting his one-on-one title shot (although I would have preferred it against Rhino earlier this year).

Xero 04-21-2006 11:20 AM

What's the XScape match? An Ultimate X match in a cage?

loopydate 04-21-2006 11:22 AM

They did one last year, but I can't remember the rules. I seem to remember that the rules were pretty convoluted.

Impact! 04-21-2006 11:29 AM

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say the first one to Xscape the cage wins :-\

And then do their finisher on a few people a couple dozen times.

No...won't be ordering...then again, I don't order PPVs.

loopydate 04-21-2006 11:41 AM

Just looked it up. It starts out as an elimination match (pinfalls, submissions) until it comes down to two. Then, whichever of the two is the first to escape wins the match.

I thought I remembered something about a timed entry, but I may have been confusing XScape with "Lethal Lockdown."

Impact! 04-21-2006 11:44 AM

Someone should start a TNA Tipsters :shifty:

loopydate 04-21-2006 12:07 PM

I'd be up for it, but we might be the only two.

Oh, and Skippord, but he'd just pick Chris fucking Sabin to win every match.

For what it's worth:

Christian Cage over Abyss via pinfall after reversing the Black Hole Slam into an Unprettier

Jarrett's Army over Sting's Warriors via submission when Ron Killings submits to the Steiner Recliner

Samoa Joe over Sabu when Sabu passes out to the Rear Naked Choke

Team 3D over Team Canada (it's a capture-the-flag match, so "how" doesn't matter)

Team Japan over Team USA when Black Tiger pins Dutt (Shelley has an opportunity to make the save, but doesn't)

Chris Sabin wins the XScape match (Petey Williams will be the other finalist)

Bullet Bob Armstrong wins the arm-wrestling match via DQ when Konnan does his Homey The Clown impression, leading to a big LAX/James Gang clusterfuck

The mystery opponent (Raven?) over Christopher Daniels

Jaton 04-21-2006 12:39 PM

Johnny Devine is awesome. I wish he'd come back already.

JH 04-21-2006 12:57 PM

i'm ordering it as always cause i order every TNA ppv
i think the lineup is pretty solid
i heard that daniels mystery opponent has been confirmed to be someone that everyone who watches wrestling will know
2 names i could think of are kidman and jericho....either one would be pretty damn sweet

Xero 04-21-2006 01:01 PM

I am making my official announcement, since I know it won't happen.

If Chris FUCKING Jericho debuts at Lockdown, I will buy every TNA DVD and watch every TNA TV show, including reruns, forever.

loopydate 04-21-2006 01:03 PM

Jericho would be just about the best move TNA could make right now. It's one thing to bring in Sting and Steiner, who have name value, but whose active careers are effectively over. Jericho is only barely past the prime of his career, and he works the TNA "style" very well.

I'd love to see him come in as a heel and feud with Christian, but there's no way the Impact Zone fans would boo him.

Xero 04-21-2006 01:08 PM

Would anyone boo Chris Fucking Jericho?

I'd piss my pants to see a Christian/Jericho feud.

loopydate 04-21-2006 01:16 PM

Most crowds would if he was a heel. He'd get a big face pop on his introduction, but he's so good on the mic that eventually he'll turn the crowd against him.

Not in the Impact Zone, though. They cheer everybody not named Jarrett.

Xero 04-21-2006 01:18 PM

Jericho got huge face reactions as a heel in WWE. A lot of guys did.

I get your point, though. Bunch of sMARKS.

Dorkchop 04-21-2006 01:22 PM

The fans in the Impact Zone cheer the ring posts.

If I had more extra money lying around, I'd order it. I can't order ppvs at home either, so I'd have to go to my brother's to order it.

The extra two, anyway...

Boondock Saint 04-21-2006 01:28 PM

No.

Jonster 04-21-2006 02:00 PM

I'll watch it on TWC next week, missing out whatever happens while 24 is on.

Bunch of retards.

I was down in Orlando last week, and they gave a standing ovation to the Janitor...

loopydate 04-21-2006 02:21 PM

Whoa-oh! Dust-mop! Whoa-oh! Dust-mop!

Xero 04-21-2006 02:54 PM

*Janitor mops*

Fans: THAT IS CLEAN! THAT IS CLEAN! THAT IS CLEAN!

*Hot dog guy sells a hot dog*

Fans: YOU SOLD IT! YOU SOLD IT! YOU SOLD IT!

*Guy puts mustard on his hot dog*

Fans: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAHHHH MUSTARD!

*Chris Jericho debutes*

Fans: ........................................................................................

Jericho: :wtf:

*Backstage*

Jericho: What the hell happened out there!?

Christian (backstage): They can't believe that somone of your caliber is here. You see, when I debuted, it was huge. When Sting debuted, it was huge. But your debut was so big and awesome that they blew their awesome fuse. Quite frankly, you did us a favor.

Kane Knight 04-21-2006 02:58 PM

It was even worse when the Janitor turned heel.

"You missed a spot! *clap clap clap*"

McLegend 04-21-2006 02:58 PM

It would be awsome if Daniels mystery opponent was Jerry Lynn.

UmbrellaCorporation 04-21-2006 03:30 PM

OUR RING HAS SIX SIDES!

Disturbed316 04-21-2006 03:41 PM

A "YOU SOLD OUT" chant would be aimed at the t-shirt stand.

Xero 04-21-2006 05:03 PM

WHAT AN ARMBAR *CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP* WHAT AN ARMBAR *CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP*

Xero 04-21-2006 05:05 PM

Hey, I had a thought the other day.

Since TNA has a six sided ring, do you think one day they'll build up a PPV completely around the fact that they're using a four sided ring for the first time in so many years?

Fans: THAT RING'S CRIPPLED! *CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP*

Disturbed316 04-21-2006 05:06 PM

Wait, does this mean that it's already been a year since Candido passed?

Fuck :(

Innovator 04-21-2006 05:30 PM

I'd mark if the mystery opponent is Low Ki

Hey, I give credit where credit is due. You did the best armbar in the history of our sport.

Yeah!!! real fans don't clap, they get out their scorecard and give matchs ratings out of 5, making sure none gets higher than 3!!! Real fans react with silence and maybe if HHH comes out they clap once! :shifty:

I'd order it if i could, its sure to be better than any WWE PPV so far this year, but i don't have TWC. I nearly got my girlfriends parents to put it on sky plus for me and then tape it but i don't think we;re quite 'there' yet.
