Was Sabu ever in the WWE?
 

The Suicidal, Homicidal, Genocidal, Death-Defying Maniac is pretty popular wherever he goes. TNA, ECW and I think he was in WCW once wasn't he?

But I can't recall ever seeing him in WWE/WWF.

Obsessed with Wrestling has nothing about him wrestling officially for WWE, but I know he wrestled at least one match during the ECW 'invasion/crossover' thing in early 97. He also did a dive off the giant RAW stage thing.

Wasn't a dive, he fell.

And I bet the crowd chanted, "E C Dub! E C Dub!" :lol:

Quite frankly it looked good after he lost his balance. He managed to get something out of it.

How did he get up on the R in the first place? Ladder?

He worked on Raw during the ECW angle in mid 1997 when Rob Van Dam was starting the Mr Monday Night gimmick. He worked dark matches a few years before then but never signed up.

Oh and DM, he was in WCW for a short period of time in like 95 or 96 I think. I remember seeing him defeat Mr JL(who would go on to wrestle as Jerry Lynn).

Yep I remember he beat Flash Funk on a RAW in 97 and I also remember his brief run in WCW.

I remember The Original Sheik blowing fire in Mr. JL's mask after a match with Sabu, and yes it was '95.
