Who invented (or first used) the DDT? Was is Jake Roberts? And if he didn't, did it have a different name before him?

I believe it was Jake Roberts who invented the DDT. I faintly remember watching a RF shoot video of Jake Roberts, who said that he came up with the move when he was wrestling somebody in New Orleans and he had put this guy in a front facelock and Jake slipped, dropping the guy on his head and knocking him out. After that, he said he started using it regularly.

Yeah, that story is mentioned on his dvd too, so I would go with that.

Little known fact. Abraham Lincoln was not shot by John Wilkes Booth, he was DDTed on a chair, this smashing his head open.

All the witnesses had no idea what they saw, as wrestling was not mainstream yet, and just made up the story of the gun.
