Trish injured at Backlash

Quote:

From WWE.com:

The following was first reported by WWE's new mobile alert system:

According to WWE doctors at the Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY, Trish Stratus dislocated her right shoulder during her match with Women's Champion Mickie James. Doctors managed to put the shoulder back in place. An MRI has been scheduled. Check back here for updates

Note to WWE: When your women (A division you treat as T&A) are working harder than your main eventers, something's fucking wrong.

McLegend 04-30-2006 10:58 PM

Alright the big question here is...

Who the fuck has this new WWE mobile alert system besides wrestling reporters?

Also very sad about Trish.

Vermaat.

Maybe she'll hold the womens' title for another 6 months and not defend it while she's healing.

RVDmark 05-01-2006 12:00 AM

Urm She's not the champion.

Tough break, but she should be back in no time.

Bazooka 05-01-2006 12:29 AM

yeah, dislocating the right would be the worst if she is right handed that is. I've dislocated my left 8 times in the past 2 years but it feels like it is getting stronger now (4 months since the last dislocation). I don't think she'll need surgery, just a few weeks to recouperate. I feel her pain though, it is a terrible feeling, I can get mine in really quick now though (leaning over something).

Dorkchop 05-01-2006 12:29 AM

Poor Trish though. I hope she's not out for long. A lot of people were actually caring about the womens' division. I'll admit, their feud has been pretty great.

Mr. Nerfect 05-01-2006 12:42 AM

The silver lining here is that Mickie James vs. Trish Stratus becomes appealing once more when Trish returns.

The WWE needs to bring Trinity, Beth Phoenix and Shelly Martinez up from OVW, ASAP.

KingofOldSchool 05-01-2006 12:50 AM

And move Melina and Jillian Hall to Raw

Nark Order 05-01-2006 01:18 AM

Yeah. It was gross. You could see it popped out of the socket.

Dorkchop 05-01-2006 01:34 AM

Maybe the WWE could use Victoria now.

Corkscrewed 05-01-2006 05:08 AM

^^ Gah!

Hope she makes a fast recovery.

That's ok. I know how things are at 4am.

I want to see a Victoria / Mickey James feud. Someone make that happen.

Volare 05-01-2006 11:49 AM

i thought something was fucked up...

i went to go grab a beer and i missed the flip but my friend told me what happened

Rob 05-01-2006 12:10 PM

I love Trish but I really believe she should have called an audible on Mickie to put an armbar on her and tap out clean.

KingofOldSchool 05-01-2006 12:41 PM

I think the finish they did works well for Mickie's character, IMO.

Could have done the exact same finish with an armbar and played up the psycho deliberately injuring Trish thing. What they did was extremely weak. Shame too because it's the best storyline on their TV right now.

Mr. Monday Morning 05-01-2006 03:54 PM

Yep totally, should've just called something like a whip to the ropes, Trish hits a clothesline but it has basically no effect and she crumples to the mat, referee asks Mickey to back off but she jumps on it with a fujiwara or something and it gets stopped. Pretty simple really, I know they like to kayfabe injuries but when it's something that severely hampers a live match there's no reason not to acknowledge it.

Rob 05-02-2006 02:53 PM

And there is no reason not to build storylines out of it.
