Ranking order of the years you've watched (WWE) wrestling?
 

If you were to make a ranking order of all the years you've been watching WWE, how would it go? You can just put a ranking order or if you like you can explain the reasons that made the year good/bad. I've watched since 1998, so I can only do an order since then. It would probably go...

Most of you have probably watched wrestling way longer than me so your 'ranking tables' will probably be a lot bigger, which will be interesting for me to see where the years before I watched wrestling fit in.

...yeah I haven't put reasons 'cos I'm a lazy cunt. Once you lot put reasons for years I'll just agree and expand on your answers or something :).

btw, I guess I'm being kind of lenient to the year 2001 'cos it's the year I was front row at a P.P.V :\. I guess really it should be 7th on my list, with 2005 going into 5th and 2003 into 6th.

When I think '2001' I think of the horrible invasion, a shitty kane, a shitty taker, Rock going away to film movies, the power trip, Raven being buried, and Road-Dogg tag-teaming with K-Kwik.

Shit year. Best part about the year was X-Factors theme music :love:.

I dunno, that's a lot of ranking, but 1992 was awesome.

When you look at it, it's kinda interesting to see how many years of your life you've been watching wrestling. I've been watching 8 years which is about half of my life.

I started watching in 98' and it's gone downhill ever since..

It's too tough for me to remember years. I just remember the moments not the years.

This is tough because I started when I was 4 in '87 and looked at wreslting differently back then. I definately enjoyed the early years more as a kid then I do now. So here goes. First to Worst

Those are my top 5, basically. I might do the rest later, but I'll give reasons for these in a bit for sure. Basically I looked at it all from the entire wrestling industry, and not just wwe.

92 owned for the summerslam at wembly arena and bulldog v bret. was a massive hart and bulldog fan at that time and the match and the ending was awesomness!

I used to watch casually when I was real little and I've seen many many tapes of the old days, but I started watching hardcore when I discovered the Sting Crow gimmick so I'll start from 1997

Simply the best storylines, set of performers, and crowd reaction in the past decade for the WWE. (Okay, so I'm biased in the fact that I was in the Fleetcenter when Austin won the title at 'Mania XIV).

God it gets me depressed to think about this when I watch "Kenny vs. John Cena for the World Title."

WCW/NWA: tie between 1991 and 1997
ECW: 1997 - 2001
NWA-TNA: 2006 (thus far it's been the best)
ROH: 2002

Out of all of them I'd have to say I liked 1997 the best for the following reasons...

--The Steiners v. Outsiders feud
--The Final Four
--The Return of Roddy Piper in WCW
--Bret Hart v. Steve Austin feud
--Bret Hart v. Steve Austin (Submission Match Wrestlemania 13)
--The ECW Invasion of WWF
--ECW Barley Legal
--The entrance of Ken Shamrock in professional wrestling
--Hunter Hearst Helmsley winning King of the Ring
--Chris Jericho's Cruiserweight Title Reign
--Bret Hart v. The Undertaker (Summer Slam)
--Bret Hatt v. The Undertaker (One Night Only)
--Lex Luger's WCW World Heavyweight Championship win at Nitro (the ecstacy of Hogan dropping the belt followed by the ecstacy of Luger dropping the title unfortunatly to Hogan)
--Terry Funk v. Sabu (Barbed Wire Match)
--Shane Douglas becomming the ECW World Champion
--The First Ever Hell in a Cell Match
--The lead up and Debut of Kane
--Rey Mysterio v. Eddie Guerrero (Cruiserweight title versus mask)
--Austin beating Owen while temporarly paryalazed
--The Montreal Screwjob (even thought I don't agree with Vince pulling that shit on Bret it made for great TV the next few weeks)
--Raven creating his Flock in WCW
--The Rock v. Steve Austin Feud over the WWF Intercontinental Title
--The creation of DeGenegation X
--The whole build of Sting's return
--Sting v. Hollywood Hogan (Starrcade 1997)

1. 2000 and I guess you could include late 99 (The year I really got into wrestling. Was a huge Rock and WWF mark back then)

2. 2002 (the weed and alcohol made this enjoyable since 2002 was considered a shitty year by most. And this was the year I had my own bachlors' pad)

3. 2003 (Smackdown was doing great. Rock was finally a heel. John Cena was the man around this time. Went to WrestleMania and witnessed TRO stink up the portable pooper at Safeco :lol: OI OI OI OI OI)

4. 2004 (All I can remember from this year was Evolution and Eugene)

5. 2005 (I think the only memorable thing I remember from this year was Cena jumping to RAW. Wasn't expecting that at the time)

6. 2006 (nothing really memorable yet)

there is no way that I can go back and rank the years from 1985 - present

Easly the late 80s like 86-92.....best years ever...yea, i been watching wrestling for TWENTY years too.

II cant be arsed I have been watching wrestling for years. I didnt watch wrestling every week untill I was 12 and I also stopped watching wrestling in 2002 and 2003.

But I will say that 2000 and 1999 where great
