NewsRadio

Was some funny shit. Phil Hartman was great in that.

It was like the comedy for smart people. :p

That show was awesome. My favorite episode was when Phil Hartman got the cubicle for around his desk and he drove everybody nuts.

YOUR Hero 05-09-2006 01:25 AM

Phil made that show work.

D Mac 05-09-2006 01:52 AM

Guess most of these TPWW youngsters have never seen it.

Check it out on cable or satillite or DVD.

Also that guy who played Mr. James. Forgot his name.

BCWWF 05-14-2006 04:51 AM

They aren't selling the DVDs are they? This show is the only time that Andy Dick has ever been funny, and he was really funny.

Skippord 05-14-2006 06:37 AM

Yeah my favorite one is the one where Phil Hartman gets the canes

Yeah they are. I have the first 3 seasons.

OMFG. NewsRadio was by far the greatest sitcom ever. Not only did it have Phil (and it died when he died), but Joe Rogan, Andy Dick, Stephen Root, and David Foley... all comedians/comic actors in their own right, to various degrees. Phil Harman alone wouldn't have done dick. That show worked because of the entire office. Except, of course, for the girls. Although back then, Maura Tierney was so fucking hot.

That show had so many best episodes. The one in space was outrageous (ROFL andy dick let his android wife use the last stasis chamber)... Bill's piano on the elevator singing political jingles... right after Bill's death when Matthew writes a song about him and starts singing, and at first it's about Bill but turns into a long fantasy about elves and unicorns...

Lordy. That show makes me happy just thinking about it. Back when NBC had a remote clue, yet they still refused to market NewsRadio because it didn't appeal to the idiotic young white person demographic, back when all they did was pumped up Friends and Seinfeld. NR got its ratings on its own.

I downloaded the entire series. Boy, that's a lot of DVDs!

BCWWF 05-14-2006 01:07 PM

Lol @ Bill singing political songs in the elevator. What about when Bill finds out that there are lyrics in rap music?

Steve The Pirate 05-14-2006 01:33 PM

Aye this show twas a great one. Me favorite one was when Mr. James promised ta give Matthew his job back if a member of his crew won t'talent show. Also love t'one where Bill was imitating then president Bill Clinton for interviews on his segment.

Viewable?

D Mac 05-15-2006 03:12 AM

TV quality. Not too bad.

BCWWF 05-15-2006 02:48 PM

"This is a question for Dave. What does Lisa look like naked?"

The Icon of Elisim 05-15-2006 03:19 PM

forgot about so many of these jokes. I loved it when it was on but lost interest when Hartman passed away.

This is one that I might actually buy the dvds for since it was a favorite of mine as a kid but I havent seen any episodes in years
