The wrestling handshake
 

I've heard someone mention before about a certain 'handshake' that some wrestlers do backstage to greet each other. Something to do with extending your index and middle finger out and shaking with those two fingers instead of your whole hand.
Can someone please explain the reasoning behind this? Thanks.

The reasoning behind it is that backstage there is basically a middle school attitude, with unspoken cliques and other traditions...

Ftr, that isn't exactly it. You do the two fingers like you are shaking hands, you know right hand shakes right hand. If you grip the finger that means you don't like the guy, if you do it loose there is no heat between the two of you.

I have a secret shake for Mickie James that involves two fingers... Dunno if that counts though.

In shawn michaels book, he talks of the loose handshake, but it got scrapped after a while, not sure about this though.
