does he have any legitimate MMA training, or is his submission style of wrestling purely a wrestling angle? 'cause it seems to me that the man would be far too lazy to pursue any kind of legitimate MMA training.

I don't know about TRAINING, but I've heard he's a fan of the sport along with Boxing.

Yeah he was an amature boxer, as far as I'm aware he's never been involved with any submission fighting before though
