i met bela fleck!

saw him play with "sparrow quartet" small show, played with a cellist, fiddler n banjo/singer, really fascinating show. anyway i saw my friend there n after the show i went backstage with him trying to get autographs etc. we couldnt find anyone so i was like "uhh.. lets see whats upstairs."

so i opened this door and bela is just standing there in a room and he said to me, "i'll be down in a sec." at this point i was like OK I just talked to bela fleck. talked to him some after about the show and whatnot, and then got my wallet signed ho

then after i left there were a bunch of 13 year olds waiting to see Wheatus AHAH didntknow that band still existed

One of the best banjo players in the world, and a lot more. and the thing is he does not just play bluegrass; he does jazz, folk, classical, really innovative.

This guy Ben Sollee was on cello. He was the most astonishing performer i had ever seen. he did things with the cello that i didnt know could happen; he played it like a guitar, and sung, and everything. here is a sample of some tracks: http://www.myspace.com/bensollee

he played 'bury me with my car' live. fabulous.

What the fuck is this? Assman posting as if he has some sort of personality? This won't stand.

Bela is the mang. I love the flecktones, particularly Victor Wooten. Though I have to say, I don't believe listening to them does them justice, they need to be seen live.

Yeah, I saw Bela Fleck and the Flecktones at Memphis in May. He is pretty tremendous from everything I have gathered.
