Judgement day 5/21/06 "lets try to get 3 pages"
http://www.wwe.com/content/media/tou.../29062/2671438
At Judgment Day, two champions collide for the biggest prize on SmackDown when Rey Mysterio defends the World Heavyweight Championship against the current United States Champion, JBL. On the April 21 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, JBL challenged the winner of the following week’s World Heavyweight Championship match between Mysterio and Kurt Angle. After badmouthing both men, however, he was on the receiving end of a 619. (watch video) The following week, Mysterio somehow survived his championship match with Angle, as Mark Henry inexplicably interrupted the match as Rey was a half-second away from tapping out to the Ankle Lock. (watch video) With Mysterio still the champion following Friday Night SmackDown, the official announcement of the match for Judgment Day was made on WWE.com on April 29. On the May 5 SmackDown, however, Rey told JBL that he would fight anyone at any time. JBL used that opportunity to goad Rey into a match with Mark Henry, which saw the World Champion get pinned by the World's Strongest Man. After the loss, JBL told Mysterio that if he was still a man of his word, he would take on the 7 foot 3, 420-pound Great Khali on May 12. (watch video) When May 12 rolled around, Rey kept his word. But in his hometown of San Diego, Mysterio was again the loser, getting destroyed by the massive Khali. After the match, JBL told the World Champion that he would have to wait and see who his opponent will be on May 19. (watch video) And the news wasn't pretty. After goading Rey into saying the date, May 19th, the Big Red Monster came to the ring. Everytime Kane hears the words May 19th, he goes into a psychotic rage. Unfortunately for Mysterio, Kane took all his anger out on the World Champion. In the end, though, JBL accidentally said those same words, and Kane chokeslammed them both. (watch video) Can Rey endure the punishment and keep his dream alive once again on May 21, or will JBL walk out of Phoenix with two championships? Find out at Judgment Day. |
Not ordering tonight, although I'm interested in the main event...
Next PPV I'm getting is ONS... |

I've ordered on the hope that JBL takes the title and the Finlay/Benoit and Tag Titles matches are half decent.....I doubt they will be, but sometimes they can surprise you.
Oh, and I wanna see the worst match ever. |
wow they really need to reuinte the rosters
I doubt JBL is winning the title tonight
Let's go JBL, even though he won't win.
Well apparently Chavo is in the building, and Meltzer said that one of the many potential finishes was him costing Rey the title
JUDGMENT DAY IS UPON US!!!!!!!!!
I usually go to a friends house, but I actually have to work tonight. So they are taping it for me, and I'll probably watch it tomorrow. Might keep track a little bit before I leave.
Who else thinks Chavo will have something to do with the main event? Chavo heel turn on Rey?
I hope so. JBL = Entertainment
Also, will that make JBL only the second man to be concurrent World Heavyweight and United States Champion? (Goldberg being the first)
Booker T was both at the end of WCW
NEW TAG CHAMPS Very good match |
WTF
Nice to split up the best tag team on the whole Roster |
Hazzah....truly blowing the load early

Pretty shit to break up something that was working over backstage heat, but hey, thats how things work.
If Matthews is off to ECW, it'll be interesting to see where they go with Nitro and Melina, they've got potential to go places.... |
Eddie Guerrero will make the save tonight.
Nitro has a future, but they need to bring back Bischoff as his manager and give him the gimmick he had on RAW. |
No replies in a half-hour?
Finlay/benoit was supposedly pretty great to
20+ minutes of proper wrestling, it was brilliant
Nitro and Melina got fired by Long
Jillian beat Melina.
Henry beats Angle by Countout
Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms used the ropes for leverage to defeat Super Crazy at Judgment Day.
-from WWE.com |
shillalagh by Finlay, Bookend by Booker T and Booker T is the new King of the Ring
This all sounds horrible. Not to mention (even though I'm going to) it's killing me in Tipsters.
K, why would you waste King of the Ring on a guy who probably has less than 5 years left in him? This was the perfect opportunity to push Lashley.
They could have had him win, then have a big match with the WHC (I'm assuming it's JBL), have him lose in a very close match (thus giving them both the rub) and continue to build him as an upper mid card guy from there. |
I hope this doesn't ruin Lashley. This should have been his next step to the main event.
It's not gonna ruin Lashley.
The WWE doesn't seem to know how to push anyone without any kind of title anymore. Who was the last real push? Orton?
They need to give Lashley the US title by the Fall if they want to build him well. Finlay/Lashley should go into a triple threat feud with the US champion. |

The ONLY advantage this gives Booker is that he gets to play the King/Queen role with Sharmell.
Oh my fucking God Kahli beat Taker...
I agree with you Funky
