:wtf:

DaveWadding 05-28-2006 08:27 PM

Sweet. They made us vote and put all the matches on there anyway. :D

Xero 05-28-2006 08:34 PM

Oh shit, the empty arena match is on there!

Rock: Hello? No, Mankind isn't available right now, he's getting his ass kicked by the Rock!

Or something like that.

mrslackalack 05-28-2006 10:15 PM

Yep it was heavliy rumored when they took off the voting that all the matches would be included on there.

mrslackalack 05-28-2006 10:18 PM

Also they changed the Cena Edge match from New Yrs Revolution to the Royal Rumble match.

Dark-Slicer Diago 05-28-2006 10:26 PM

who else is surprised that Triple H only has 1 match on there?

Xero 05-28-2006 10:34 PM

As much as this DVD will rule, they should have (or should on a future DVD) only included title changes.

mrslackalack 05-28-2006 11:05 PM

Ud think though it would be more discs because the match listing for Disc 3 has tons of long matches on there and possibly would not fit a 3 hr disc.

Sadistic 05-29-2006 10:17 AM

Why is John Cena on it

Impact! 05-29-2006 10:26 AM

Probably cause he is the WWE Champ...Coz you know, that's what the DVD is about

Rammsteinmad 05-29-2006 11:24 AM

Is this only for the "WWE Title", and not the World Title.

I woulda thought the WMXX Triple Threat match should be on there.

Azriel 05-29-2006 11:58 AM

Probably some of the matches are just highlighted versions.

owenbrown 05-29-2006 12:28 PM

No Lesnar vs. Angle (WrestleMania XIX)? :?:

Impeccable 05-29-2006 12:38 PM

I'm kinda surprised that the Triple H vs Scott Steiner from the royal rumble a couple of years ago isn't on.

:shifty:

Yeah because of that I'm not buying the DVD. That was a classic.

crash99 05-29-2006 12:45 PM

Also, their is a huge number of matches on this DVD. A lot of them look awesome and are cool historic matches. Can't wait for this to come out.

mrslackalack 05-29-2006 12:49 PM

Yeah the matches are only WWE title matches thats possibly the reason why there isnt that many HHH matches since hes mostly had the World Heavyweight Title.

The younger crowd love Cena so by putting him on there they'll probably have more buys (not tomention the fact he's been the champ for like a whole year.)

I woulda Put JBL vs Cena at judgementday over Cena vs Edge, but I assume they wanted something from 2006.

FourFifty 05-29-2006 03:00 PM

What! No Nature Boy?
Buddy Rogers was the first WWWF (as it was known back then, extra W, no E) champ! He SHOULD be on the DVD even if the footage isn't that great.

Oh, and Ric Flair. Love Ric Flair!

mrslackalack 05-29-2006 04:42 PM

That is shocking considering Rogers was Vinces favorite wrestler.

Xero 05-29-2006 05:45 PM

I thought it was Steven Richards.

owenbrown 05-29-2006 09:16 PM

The Lesnar/Angle 60-minute Ironman from SmackDown! in '03 should be on there too.

The Show Off 05-30-2006 01:49 AM

Damn it, I own 25 of those matches already... Did they have to put in some many God damn Wrestlemania matches? Oh well, I'll probably get it because of the Sammartino matches, and the Rock v. Mankind matches.

Xero 05-30-2006 11:55 AM

Yeah, they put way too many Mania matches on there, especially since they released them on DVD.

I would have left it at Austin/Michaels, Hogan/Andre, DiBiase/Savage and Lesnar/Angle.

Londoner 05-30-2006 12:10 PM

I might just get this. Though I don't agree with all the matches on there, there's enough of them that make make me want to buy it.

Rammsteinmad 05-30-2006 04:07 PM

What's the empty arena match all about?

During the superbowl (in 99 or 2000.. i don't remember) they had something called "Halftime Heat" for the bowl that year. It was Rock (champion) and Mankind (foley) in a hardcore-falls count anywhere match for the WWE title in a completely empty arena.

Great match, crappy ending. :y:

Rammsteinmad 05-30-2006 04:18 PM

OMG LOL!!! I don't remember that! I'll have to get the DVD just to check it out.

Thanks.

Loose Cannon 05-30-2006 06:43 PM

good DVD, but I have most of those already. Waiting for Dusty Rhodes and Managers next week.

mrslackalack 05-30-2006 10:18 PM

The Backlund Race match was only seen by the live MSG crowd and was never televised. It was for a unifacation of the WWF and NWA world belts and rumors are it was a great 35 plus minute match that ended on a DQ.

I heard the empty arena match tween Funk and Lawler in the 1980s was a classic.

Dorkchop 05-30-2006 11:03 PM

- Randy Savage vs. Ted Dibiase (WrestleMania IV)
- Randy Savage vs. Hulk Hogan (WrestleMania V)
- Hulk Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior (WrestleMania VI)
- Ric Flair vs. Randy Savage (WrestleMania VIII)
- Shawn Michaels vs. Steve Austin (WrestleMania XIV)
- Mankind vs. The Rock (I Quit, Royal Rumble '99)
- The Rock vs. Mankind (empty arena match)
- Steve Austin vs. The Rock (WrestleMania XVII)
- Steve Austin vs. Chris Jericho (unification match, Vengeance '01)
- Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit (Royal Rumble '03)
- John Cena vs. Chris Jericho vs. Christian (Vengeance '05)

I'm kind of looking forward to seeing some of the old matches. I haven't seen most of these in years. I haven't seen Macho vs Hulk since I was in like grade 1. I'm looking forward to seeing Cena vs Y2J vs Christian. I almost bought the Vengeance DVD for that match. Now I don't have to. It's pretty cool to see Christian on that DVD... Especially when that was his only real big match for the title. WWE made a big mistake not following through on his push.

I never got to see Half Time Heat. I saw a highlight or two and it looked pretty sweet.

No one's going to be happy with the full list, but I think they did a pretty good job chosing matches.

mrslackalack 05-30-2006 11:16 PM

I read in a column that if this set sells well that WWE is considering releasing best world title matches from NWA/WCW, ECW, and AWA.
