ONS called right down the middle (One Night Stand spoiler)

The "Manager Of Champions" Bill Alfonso, is backstage at the Hammerstein Ballroom and will take part in ECW One Night Stand tonight. The "man who calls it right down the middle" is scheduled to manage both Sabu and Rob Van Dam in their respective title matches tonight on the show.

Also, Big Guido of the FBI is backstage, and will accompany Little Guido & Tony Mamaluke for their match against Yoshihiro Tajiri & Super Crazy.

And for those curious, Atlas Security, the legendary team that handled crowds for the original ECW (and last year's One Night Stand), will once again be used for tonight's show, which should help in creating the "ECW vibe" for the show.

Man I can't wait for tonight! When you put guys like Fonzy, Big Guido, and Atlas Security in there with ECW legends like John Cena, Randy Orton, Kurt Angle, Big Show, Jerry Lawler, Edge...wait what was my point? Oh yeah, the addition of those guys will MAKE IT as far as the ECW Feel.

I had work earlier. There's no way I could stay awake for this :(

Disturbed316 06-11-2006 07:13 PM

I've been working for the last 5 days Jonster, I know how you feel, pussy.

Well he WAS there, he just wasn't out for the matches, only the celebrations, for some odd reason.

I would have loved to see him come out, blowing the whistle while Cena was in the corner and hold the chair for a Van Terminator.

That "spot" (for lack of a better word) is way overused now, by the way.

Chavo Classic 06-13-2006 12:33 PM

I think it was strange that he didn't come out for the maine event. Perhaps they didn't want to alienate the majority of WWE marks who had bought the event just to watch the Cena match.

And that geek in the brown shirt clearly doesn't belong at a wrestling show

Well, I'm sure they thought when the announcer was announcing RVD and Van Dam did the spin kick they thought it was a NEW and INNOVATIVE entrance.

Chavo Classic 06-13-2006 12:40 PM

I thought the match was MAKE OR BREAK for RVD's career

Xero 06-13-2006 12:45 PM

Well, it finally BROKE IT for Cena.

I marked out for that

Innovator 06-13-2006 01:14 PM

Hey ROH did it twice this year, once with Cabana vs. Homicide in the Chicago Street Fight, the other when Homicide faced Necro Butcher. TNA killed it by using it on Saturday.

Yeah, that's the strange part. Why have him back stage and not use him? To me, the ending was fucked up. The Frogsplash is RVD's "WWE" finisher. A Fonzie assisted Terminator would have made RVD look much stronger and been the perfect ECW ending to an ECW pay per-view. It's bad enough that he didn't get over clean. But then again, I should just shut the fuck up and be glad he's get the belt in the first place.

Fonzie better be part of the new ECW and come out with RVD tonight. Anything less is UNACCEP......ugggh. You get the idea.

As did I.

I also loved when he bowed at the VS show. He may have done it at ONS, but it stands out for me at the VS show.

ONS was poor at best, ECW is so unrefined

The 5 star Frogsplash has always been RVD's finisher.

*puts on nerd glasses*

Actually when RVD first came into ECW he was actually using the split legged moonsault as his finish

You're probably the only in the world that remembers that, nerd.

RVD disagrees.
