It was annouced that since Tazz has alligned with ECW that JBL would be the new colour commentator on Smackdown.

What does everybody think of this.

He is good on the mic so I think he would be a success as a commentator as well but Smackdown and the wwe need him as a active heel wrestler. I mean with HHH turning face him and Edge are the only credible long term heels the wwe has.

I think that despite being filled with usless talent and no direction I am going to watch every single second of SmackDown. Now if only Michael Cole would shut up and get rid of their roster and just have JBL talk for 2 hours...oh yeah...

lol, I kinda agree. I thought he'd go to RAW, but it looks like Orton will instead. I don't know if he's retiring, but I've said that he should remain in the company with some sort of mic role.

I don't have a problem with it. He's good on the mic. I just hope he's not always ranting about issues and actually talks about the matches. I'll miss Tazz, but JBL will hopefully do well and will provide a different feel (In a good way... not in the bum).

The wrestler into announcer thing doesn't always work out well, but I don't watch smackdown, so I don't give a fuck
