Name me some guitarists

That didn't take up the guitar untill they were 18-21 years old.

Bob Ritchie - Kid Rock didn't start till he was in that range. When his first album in 1990, when he was 19, was a flop, he started learning guitar and other instuments. Can't really think of anyone else at this time.

are you looking to pick up a guitar or something?

JJ Moore 06-14-2006 12:42 PM

Ron Thal

I'm guessing you wanna get big and you're in that age range, and you're a little worried right? The only reason why most guitarists start young is because you learn quicker when you're young. Thats all there is behind it, if you wanna go big, just pick up a guitar, learn, and shred it how you wanna.

Tony Blair

The guys from Artic Monkeys starting playing guitar when they where like 18.

The Mask 06-15-2006 10:00 AM

i wouldnt worry about it, as long as you don't want to become some mighty shredder superquick. its pretty easy to learn

Just John 06-15-2006 11:02 AM

And practice at least an hour a day or something, I don't, and I'm half as good as I should be.

The Mask 06-15-2006 11:35 AM

yeah. i barely ever practise anymore. im in some crappy comfort zone. i don't want to practise to the point i'm some annoying shreddy wanker.

Kane Knight 06-15-2006 11:45 AM

If I can do it, pretty much anyone with hands can. Unless your left hand is a hook or something.

RoXer 06-15-2006 01:37 PM

Like Buster Bluth.

Rammsteinmad 06-15-2006 04:30 PM

I'm a shreddy wanker, but I've practiced about 6 hours a day for the last four years.

It worked for me though... if that's your thing.

RoXer 06-15-2006 04:55 PM

Are you going to become famous anytime soon?

RoXer 06-15-2006 04:56 PM

I want to be the next big thing but I feel my time has passed.

Mike the Metal Ed 06-15-2006 06:38 PM

A bit early, but Janick Gers started at 17.

If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?

If you wanna learn guitar to be a rock star etc, then maybe you might wanna reconsider, but your time has "never passed" to learn a new talent.

Hmm... dunno if that makes much sense, but basically if you wanna learn to play guitar learn to play it. Age doesn't matter.

The Mask 06-16-2006 01:31 PM

what kinda music are you into

RP 06-16-2006 01:41 PM

I could be wrong on this, but Dave Grohl?

el fregadero 06-16-2006 06:22 PM

You can always be like that guy from The Rookie who didn't make it to the big league until he was like 38. You might make it big but everybody will think you're a washed up rocker, when really you're just a guy who decided to learn guitar a bit late.

RoXer 06-16-2006 06:53 PM

Hot Ice.

You heat up the ice cubes.

RoXer 06-16-2006 06:53 PM
