champs

who would be the best raw/smackdown champs?

Kane Knight 06-15-2006 10:35 PM

John Cena and John Bradshaw Layfield.

If they're gonna flush WWE down the toilet, why not have two champs whose names suit?

OverTaker 06-15-2006 10:37 PM

Raw - Triple H (At The Moment)
Smackdown -Like they were saying in another thread, Booker T should get a Heavyweight Title push again.

the wwe champion 06-16-2006 07:10 AM

Raw- Triple H
Smackdown!- Batista or Booker-T

TerranRich 06-16-2006 10:52 AM

BatistaBOMBED!!! You can't hide from us!

GoodByeJBL 06-16-2006 11:51 AM

hhh should be raw champ

Stickman 06-16-2006 11:53 AM

Tatanka.

GoodByeJBL 06-16-2006 12:07 PM

smackdown - the great khali
raw- umaga

Impeccable 06-16-2006 12:55 PM

Raw - Based on current momentum, Triple H. I'd have said Edge about two months ago, but just seeing him with Lita is wrong. Any girl that I could reverse an eighteen wheeler truck into their cleavage is just wrong.

Smackdown - It should be someone like Randy Orton, but they've screwed that up by moving him to Raw. One of the few shining lights on Smackdown was that we could have seen a decent Batista/Orton feud. based on the current smackdown roster, I'd say Booker T.

Y2Jeremy 06-16-2006 01:12 PM

RAW-its a stretch, but I would put the strap on HBK, and let him feud with a freshly heel Cena

Smackdown-I would make Booker T the champ, but without the match booking i have in my mind, it wouldn't work now. The creative team would fuck it to hell and make him look weak like JBL did.

GoodByeJBL 06-16-2006 01:27 PM

what about th wwe tag team and the tag team champs the ic champion the womens champion?

Y2Jeremy 06-16-2006 01:39 PM

oh..
Tag: Gymini, there is no reason they should not be champs, besides their gimmick. feud with london/kendrick
Tag: put the belts on DX, let them continue to feud with SSquad (before HBK wins WWE title.)
IC: put the belt on Carlito, since the people love him and let benjamin work on his gimmick before giving it back
Womens: put it on melina and let Nitro help her keep it until Victoria takes it after returning to her psycho gimmick(with music and all) as a face.
US- lashley is prefect for it. need a personality, not just a humble guy.
cruiser- GIVE HELMS TV TIME!!

WWE Champion: Kane
OK, this one lacks a little bit of logic, especially considering Triple H is the top face at the moment, but DX doesn't need the WWE Championship, Edge is a top heel, but doesn't need the belt right now (we need a Champ we can cheer). I really believe Kane should be rewarded for his movie performing well, as well as giving the fans a little more insentive to get behind the Big Red Machine.

World Champion: King Booker
Booker T has never really entertained me in the WWE. Even when he was teaming with Goldust, I was more interested in the latter. King Booker should get a title shot for winning the 2006 King of the Ring, and with the actual heat between him and Batista, there is a good main event story to be told.

WWE Intercontinental Champion: Johnny Nitro
If they are ever going to be serious about using Johnny Nitro as a singles guy, why not act now, while he's hot? Melina could make the title reign believeable, plus Nitro is a pretty good in-ring performer. Shelton Benjamin has gotten about as much rub from the belt as possible, as has Carlito. Charlie Haas is a possibility, but I forsee other things for Mr Haas. Plus, once Nitro is Champion, he can pretty much drop the title at anytime. Just proving he's good enough to win the belt should help the fans take him more seriously.

WWE United States Champion: Matt Hardy
Bobby Lashley makes a fine U.S. Champion, but he is apparently being groomed for bigger things. I don't think Lashley is the kind of guy who gets over for the quality of the title reign. He seems more like a quantity guy, to me. Hardy has been left out of the loop for a while now, it's hard to believe he actually hasn't held a mid-card title. Winning the red, white and blue gold is the first step to getting the fans to take him seriously (again).

World Tag Team Champions: Triple H & Shawn Michaels
How else do you reward the success of DX? The match at Vengeance should be Kenny & Johnny vs. Triple H & Shawn Michaels, to establish the future of the business and all, but maybe DX will be recognised as World Tag Team Champions after beating all five? Triple H & Shawn Michaels could do wonders for the World Tag Team Titles, adding prestige to them once more.

WWE Tag Team Champions: Paul London & Brian Kendrick
Team Shenanigans is fine with the gold. Give them people to feud with, though. The Mexicools program will probably reach a conclusion next week, with PL & BK retaining. Technically, these guys haven't even defended the belts yet. Let them work some guest ECW dates, or something. PL & BK vs. The FBI in ECW would be fantastic. London & Kendrick should retain against The Pitbulls when the time comes, and then feud with William Regal & Finlay. I don't forsee an appropriate end to the title run of Paul London & Brian Kendrick.

WWE Women's Champion: Victoria
Mickie James is the hot act in the division, at the moment. She has programs on the horizon with Trish Stratus and Beth Phoenix. I must ask then, why not use that heat to build up a secondary story besides the Women's Title feud? Phoenix should want to hurt Victoria after the injury, and having Victoria hold the Women's Title adds intensity to that feud, while Mickie carries her program with Trish on elsewhere. Sometime in the near future, we should see Victoria vs. Beth Phoenix for the WWE Women's Championship and Mickie James vs. Trish Stratus on the same PPV card.

WWE Cruiserweight Champion: Gregory Helms
The WWE is in a bit of a conundrum. The only face I can see effectively ending Gregory Helms' Cruiserweight Title reign is Paul London, who is currently a WWE Tag Team Champion, with no logical end to that in sight. The WWE needs cruiserweights, and quickly. After Helms defends the belt against Shannon Moore and Jimmy Yang, who is going to step up? Chavo Guerrero could be a throwaway opponent, but from that moment on, Helms is going to be without an adversary. Keep the belt on Helms until things sort themselves out.

ECW Champion: Rob Van Dam
Like him or not, RVD is probably the happy medium between old and washed up ECW, and a new and still able ECW. Let's keep him Champion until it is absolutely necissary to take the belt off him. Angle may do, and I shall not complain, but that won't be until around December PPV time. Until then, expect to see RVD as Champ.

ECW Television Champion: Super Crazy
This one is sort of hard to call, and we don't even know if the belt is back yet. Super Crazy screams "heart and soul" to me, so I can see them going with him. I expect the TV Title to be the one that changes hands in ECW keeping the program interesting until PPV time. I fully expect Crazy to hold the belt again, though.

ECW Tag Team Champions: Danny Doring & Roadkill
They were the last original ECW Tag Team Champions, so why not make them the first new ECW Tag Team Champions? They are an able tag team that is familiar with ECW fans. I wouldn't expect anything more than two months from these guys, though.
