Will you be going to see "Nacho Libre"?

I wondered how many ppl r actually planning to go to this movie, because while it is kinda stupid, having Jack Black as the main guy (Nacho) almost makes it seem worth it...so will u b seeing it? Yes or No?

The Naitch 06-17-2006 05:37 PM

seen it

it was excellent

HaTeR 06-17-2006 05:48 PM

jack black is an ugly unfunny fat annoying cunt

Kane Knight 06-17-2006 05:59 PM

You need better choice options. I'll probably see it, but it doesn't particularly sound hilarious, just sound like it might be enjoyable.

The Naitch 06-17-2006 06:01 PM

Nacho's tag team partner reminds me of Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite

Xero 06-17-2006 06:23 PM

Let's put it this way: I have never liked any of Jack Black's movies and hate him as an actor. I haven't seen a movie in theaters since Batman Begins. I don't like this style of comedy. It looks fucking retarded.

Now someone save me the time of pushing the radio button and guess which my answer would be.

Dorkchop 06-17-2006 06:49 PM

If someone asks me to go see I will. It'll probably be pretty stupid, but I likes me's stupids. I don't care if no one asks me to see it.

ClockShot 06-17-2006 07:04 PM

I won't waste any time. However, I'd like to get the opinion of pro wrestlers about this movie.

Is the nun played by Paz Vega?

D Mac 06-17-2006 07:07 PM

I'll wait for the DVD and illegally rip and burn it.

I marked out for the fat kid whenever he came on screen

The Naitch 06-17-2006 09:27 PM

ps- it was 100 times more entertaining than School of Rock BTW

Pinnacle Charisma 06-17-2006 10:09 PM

yeah why not

Id watch any movie about wrestling.

Hell I even enjoyed Ready To Rumble

Kane Knight 06-17-2006 10:10 PM

Sadly, I think Black's an annoying cunt, but he keeps making movies I'm interested in.

SammyG 06-18-2006 09:23 AM

Black was pretty good in King Kong

Kane Knight 06-18-2006 11:17 AM

Haven't seen the new Koing, but Black in a serious role sounds about as bad as Jim Carrey as Gandhi.

GoodByeJBL 06-18-2006 11:21 AM

i want it when it comes out on dvd looks like it would be funny

loopydate 06-18-2006 01:23 PM

I have no interest in it. Tenacious D is all right, and Jack is funny in small doses (his cameo in Anchorman, for example), but I can't imagine him playing a chef that becomes a luchador for two hours could make me laugh more than once or twice.

Besides that, wrestling movies always are terrible. You would think something with so much inherent drama and comedy would have yielded one good movie. You would think incorrectly.

weather vane 06-18-2006 02:01 PM

It looks UNREAL. Gonna see it for sure.

NACHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Joey Slugs 06-18-2006 02:53 PM

Anything done by the same clowns that threw up Napolean Dynamite, I won't be seeing.

Arnold HamNegger 06-18-2006 03:00 PM

This looks like a movie that was meant for a DVD player and an 18 pack/massive bong rip.

SammyG 06-18-2006 03:57 PM

Maybe I'll see it, Maybe I won't, GOSH!

Disturbed316 06-18-2006 05:05 PM

I didn't have much of an interest in it at first, but I started watching Jack's video diary/podcasts from on the set and that got me interested in it.

So yes, I will probably go see it.

Y2Jeremy 06-18-2006 05:37 PM

I'll see it, but I dont know when. I also think Jack Black is only funny in doses, but the commercials already have me hooked.
"when you are a man, sometimes you wear esstretchy pants. iss for fun."
"it was esstinky, these are my recreation clothss."*clinches butt cheeks*

Boondock Saint 06-18-2006 08:48 PM

It was funny, nothing great though.

He'll be going over Rey in a non-title match this week.

Corndad 06-19-2006 07:06 PM

This thread got me thinking? What were some of the movies made about Wrestling other then Ready to Rumble and this movie? I can't really think of any. Documentaries aside of course like Beyond the Mat and Wrestling in Shadows..

Xero 06-19-2006 07:16 PM

Technically Rocky 3 is, I suppose.

And then there's No Holds Barred.

KayfabeMan 06-19-2006 07:36 PM

Alias The Champ, starring Gorgeous George.

KayfabeMan 06-19-2006 07:39 PM

Also Lipstick and Dynamite, Slammed, Body Slam, I Like To Hurt People, Grunt, The Wrestler, and I know there are others but I can't think right now.

As far as TV, there's been The Mullets and Nikki [which her husband / boyfriend was a professional wrestler] and maybe some others.

KayfabeMan 06-19-2006 07:40 PM

Mucha Lucha
