Winky Wright vs Jermaine Taylor
 

Its on HBO right now and its a heck of a fight so far. In the fourth round.

Taylor is getting at him. Wright is known for his defense and he's crowding Taylor to take away his power , but Taylor is getting him still. Its dead even after 5 and Wright just had a Flurry, but Taylor backed him away with a stiff right.

Round 5 was great.

If Jermaine Taylor wins this fight then he's big time. Man he looks amazing right now and Wright looks great too.

Taylor defenetly took round 6. Wright had round 5. Its dead even by my count. Taylor looks so much better then i remember.

Taylor rocked Winky about 3 times in round 7. Wright might have more stamina then Taylor right now, but Taylor takes round 7.

Taylor is locked in for sure.

Wright is like the Tim Duncan of Boxing. He's so fundamental in everything he does. He disects you defensively and with his jabs and hooks. Takes your power away by crowding you.

Wright did just that. Had 11 unanswered punches at one points. Wright takes round 8 and its dead even.

Really great fight.

Taylors left eye is swollen shut cause of Wrights right jab, but he's still locked in. I'm not sure who took round 9 , but probably Taylor. What a round.

Lederman gave Wright round 9 and had Wright winning 86-85. I dunno. Taylor might have gotten that one.

What a fight. OMG round 10

Taylor rocked Winky about 10 times in round 10. Winky had 3 flurries or so, but not causing alot of damage to Taylor it seemed cause he kept rocking him with hooks. Taylor got round 10 no doubt.

Possible fight of the year canidate.

Going to the 12th round. The 11th was really close, i think i'd say Wright took the 11th. Taylor needs to win the round.

Wow i dont know. Wright went total defense and may have fucked himself Oscar style.

I could tell as soon as i started reading this it'd be a draw, damn Americans don't want either of their golden boys losing:p

Actually reading the analysis and comments it sounds like it was a pretty even affair, coulda gone either way, fair played to Taylor, and tbh seeing as Wright was only fighting at MW for like the 4th time or something he coulda done a hell of a lot worse.

I stayed up to watch it but I was playing Smackdown vs. Raw waiting for it to come on and I got caught up in the game and missed the fight :lol:

Winky Wright would have won the fight if he threw punches in the last round.

I think the judges gave him the last round. Every report I've seen all gave Wright the 12th so it wouldn't have made any difference.

If so then they must have given Taylor the 11th. I dont know who won the 11th. It was that close. Smells like they planted the seeds for the rematch. Both sides say there wont be a rematch, thats until the PPV money is flashed in there face.

Taylor had some moments of brilliance and then he had some moments of brain death.

Great fight. I agree with the draw although I felt Winky won 7 rds to 5. Him being overconfident in the 12th rd cost him the fight. Taylor has used 3 of his 9 lives as this is the 3rd fight in the row where is was possible he might have lost. Taylor is still young and will only get better in his prime.

Most feedback I read thought Winky won the fight.

I'm not sure what fight those people were watching, but Taylor was rocking Winky so hard at times that Winky actually stopped and stepped back. Now that i've thought about it for a couple of nights. It really was a draw. Winky could have won the fight in the 12th if he was just the aggressor , but he decided to go Oscar on Taylor. His loss. Taylor looked great.
