Kane on Smackdown
 

Maybe I missed it but was there actually an explanation for why kane came to SD on "May 19th" to pointlessly face Mysterio, then bugger off back to Raw.

Pointless maybe, but they just needed to bring someone over to Smackdown to make it interesting that week.

On that week's RAW, Vince had a phonecall from JBL. JBL was asking if Kane could come to SD! that friday night.

JBL was exploiting his "Fighting Champion" shtick, calling Rey on his "Machismo" and every week sending someone big and strong against Rey. So Khali and Henry were used. Now the question is who was big and someone Rey hadn't been fucked by yet?

Meanwhile, on Raw, they promoted Kane's movie's release date by having Kane freak out when May 19th was mentioned. Sadly, all that came of this at the time was him coming out and Squashing Rey on May 19th.

I got the whole movie tie-in stuff, I just couldn't recall how they reasoned someone crossing brands like that,
