(June 20) — He's clearly into fitness, and splashy summer colors.


The new film about the Man of Steel, "Superman Returns" -- which comes out, er, on June 28 -- is being advertised on Logo, the gay and lesbian cable TV channel. Now, the gay magazine, The Advocate, is asking "How Gay Is Superman?"

The Advocate isn't really questioning whether Brandon Routh's 'Superman' is gay, but making the analogy that his secret life relates to those of gays and lesbians.

Executives from Warner Bros. are not happy with the 'Brokeback'-esque publicity the article has generated.

Director Bryan Singer, who is gay, says Superman 'is probably the most heterosexual character in any movie I've ever made.'

The film and character has also drawn parallels to the portrayal of Jesus Christ.

A 2002 issue of the Journal of Religion and Film alleges 20 Superman-Jesus parallels.

Superman can kick anybodys ass. Even if he was gay, he still could, so STFU.

I personally loved the movie. I have really hated most superhero movies that have come out recently, but this one was really good.

I give it a 9 out of 10. I think they did a good job of staying true to what Superman was always like, and finding out that the kid was really Superman's son was a huge twist. Didn't see that coming. <---Spoiler

I'm also curious.. Spoiler question --> Was the kid immune to kryptonite because he was half human or something? I noticed he didn't really seem to be effected the same as Superman was.
