The new Keane album is a lot slower than the first (which takes some doing huh?). I wasn't impressed.
I got it in the same week I got The Feeling's new album (Twelve Stops and Home) and The Automatic's New Album (Not Accepted Anywhere), and I can't stop listening to them. |

Keane are shite. The claim to be a three piece, but there is definalty a bass player and a guitar player hiding behind the curtains.

Keane on the other hand are really quite dull. By quite I mean very. |
I'm going to be seeing Muse 22-Aug at the Eden Project in Cornwall, should be great.
They're also playing the same arena two days before I go to see Raw/Smackdown so I may also see them then. Also, they're playing two dates at Wembley Arena in Novemeber, I might go to both of them. Oh, incase you didn't guess, Muse are totally tits live. |

Keane are pretty good in the indie hearts-on-their-sleeves soft-rock genre, they're certainly up there as strong second-ran contenders to Coldplay, and to a lesser extent, Travis. If you like this kind of music, which I do enjoy, then Keane aren't bad. New album isn't as good as the first but there's a few good tracks.
Re: guitars. They don't use guitars. But they do use keyboard effects that sound like guitars. Which beggars the question: why not just use guitars? |
