The official TNA Impact thread - 6/29/06

Welcome to another week for the suck

BigDaddyCool 06-29-2006 11:01 PM

Woooooooo, Christian...wow they announcers waste no time to get to the sucking.

BigDaddyCool 06-29-2006 11:10 PM

Man, Scott Stiener is retarded.

BigDaddyCool 06-29-2006 11:11 PM

Jeff Jarrett is the smartest man in wrestling?!?!?! I always thought it was Vince McMahon.

McLegend 06-29-2006 11:18 PM

Eric young is hilarious

BigDaddyCool 06-29-2006 11:22 PM

Oh my good, not only do they announcers suck at their jobs, but that one guys voice sucks so bad.

Innovator 06-29-2006 11:24 PM

Eric Young is the man, plain and simple

BigDaddyCool 06-29-2006 11:25 PM

Monty Brown is gayer than gay.

BigDaddyCool 06-29-2006 11:26 PM

how the hell is the pounce a finisher?

McLegend 06-29-2006 11:27 PM

I love Monty Brown

Innovator 06-29-2006 11:28 PM

They really need to start using Homicide, this is getting ridiculous

BigDaddyCool 06-29-2006 11:32 PM

Who is Homicide?

BigDaddyCool 06-29-2006 11:33 PM

You know if they had Nash or Raven as an announcer...or maybe both that would be way better.

Innovator 06-29-2006 11:34 PM

He's the goods but he never gets used, gotta find ROH to see him do his thing

Nash as color commentator = highest ratings ever

McLegend 06-29-2006 11:36 PM

Nah man Nash should only do commentating like once in while otherwise he would get old.

also maybe if Raven became Johnny Polo again him doing color wouldn't be that bad.

I found the show to be mildly entertaining. Bearing in mind this is the first time I've ever watched it of course.

Whoever was teaming with Saban was pretty exciting to watch, pretty athletic guy from the looks of it. The Alpha Male or whoever it is, that guy is fucking JACKED. Could use a little more work though in terms of wrestling, few of his moves were sloppy.

Jeff Jarrett is pretty much the only negative thing I saw from the show tonight, but he was always annoying in my opinion, back in his WWF days. Again, this is the first time I've ever watched TNA so I may be off the ball in thinking this show was halfway decent.

Skippord 06-30-2006 12:21 AM

Jay Lethal was the one teaming with Sabin. He rules ass.

Dorkchop 06-30-2006 12:27 AM

Giving Jarrett the belt again was a really stupid mistake. It makes me not want to watch TNA. Seriously.

Innovator 06-30-2006 12:28 AM

I'm for Jarrett getting the belt ONLY if he loses it to Joe in 3 weeks

Evil Vito 06-30-2006 12:33 AM

I'm certain Joe will be champ once Victory Road ends.

Though I do wish Jarrett would have been the one getting canned instead of Earl Hebner :shifty:

Only to win it back in a month and a half.

Evil Vito 06-30-2006 12:42 AM

I will say though:

If Jarrett is the one who ultimately ends Joe's streak, I'm done with TNA

Yeah, that man was busting out some crazy moves in there. Really athletic and seems pretty technically sound from seeing that little bit there. I hope they put him on TV some more.

Innovator 06-30-2006 12:54 AM

The one who ends Joe's streak will be none other than Austin Aries, but it'll be 21 months after Joe wins the belt

Gonzo 06-30-2006 12:57 AM

Who knows if they'll put the belt on Joe, from the looks of it they could play up a feud between Joe and Steiner (I don't know if they have already done this, this is the first time I've ever watched.)

I would hope they put the belt on Joe, he seems pretty over with the crowd. I can see them just as easily having someone else picking it up and feuding with Jarrett instead.

BLaZeR- 06-30-2006 01:35 AM

Pretty decent show tonight, nothing special. What's the word on Aries anyway is he even coming back?

TerranRich 06-30-2006 11:34 AM

They should team X-Pac with Konnan and Homicide.

X-LAX = RATINGS

That joke is late. My friend Kyle said that about 4 months ago.

TerranRich 06-30-2006 01:03 PM

Did he say it on TPWW? YEAH DIDN'T THINK SO. :)

He just found out recently that he has been wrestling with a torn ACL for close to a year...and TNA management still hates him.

That sucks...and pretty stupid on TNA's part for still being mad about what happened, Aries could be a top star for the company.

Kalyx triaD 06-30-2006 03:09 PM

Jesus Christ this show blows.

Still, the company meeting thing that ties up storylines in one swoop is actually a good tool; something that could work in the WWE.

Jesus Christ this show blows.

Azriel 07-02-2006 12:20 AM

So, what's with Hebner? He's retiring? Also liked Cornette's little dig to WWE about just giving the belt to the son in law, and every fan knew exactly who he was talking about

Skippord 07-02-2006 12:45 AM

Yeah in TNA they give the belt right to their son

BigDaddyCool 07-02-2006 06:42 PM

I like how the NWA belt is pretty meaningless.

BigDaddyCool 07-02-2006 06:44 PM

Also, I completely hate how it seems like everyone on the show has an angle, even the commentators and interviewers.
