I'll admit this doesn't deserve it's own topic - but to anyone who actually watched the diva search segment on Smackdown - what was with that chick that seemed to be modeled after last years winner Ashley? Standing there with her stupid punk hand gestures... she looked like an idiot. Then again - they all make me cringe when they try to cut promos or come across as "tough".

This is new? "punk" chicks are pop. They're always gonna have one.

Well, technically, punk chicks are 2000 pop, but Cena was 1996 pop, and it didn't stop them then...

Basically, do you remember the TNN "We've got pop" promos, which lead into things like the Bob Newhart Show, Taxi, and whatever other 70s reruns they could get their hands on?

WWE is "pop" in that sense. The Miz, Cena, and Ashley were really late 90s or maybe 2000 at best, and so on and so forth.

Ashley was generic, and now she's even MORE generic.

I don't know. AAR seemed pretty mopey to me.

Naaah they are close, but they are more pop rock than emo. They need one or two more suicide songs before I will classify them as emo.

Yeah, I just tend to classify emo as "Any song where the singer is overprocessed and waiting for his balls to drop."
