What ever happened with Orton failing drug testing?

Didn't he get caught during a drug test or 2? And have they punshined him yet?

Xero 07-16-2006 01:51 AM

He was sent to "rehab" for "personal issues" (backstage bullshitting around) and came back a week early. I didn't hear anything about him failing a drug test.

Mr. JL 07-16-2006 01:53 AM

I read that it was just a rumor someone started, and that it was not true.

BigDaddyCool 07-16-2006 01:54 AM

Oh, well I still hate randy orton.

Kane Knight 07-16-2006 09:10 AM

Orton went int oanger management.

Chavo Classic 07-16-2006 09:37 AM

And now he's instantly rewarded with a top feud against arguably one of the greatest superstars of all time. He's born with a silver spoon up his ass.

Kane Knight 07-16-2006 09:41 AM

I'm not sure jobbing to Hogan is a reward.

Chavo Classic 07-16-2006 09:43 AM

It's certainly better than being sent to OVW, or worse still ECW, as a punishment. We all know that the WWE is capable of being shitty to anyone, but they wouldn't dare piss off their golden boy.

Kane Knight 07-16-2006 09:57 AM

I dunno. He was pissed on for like a full year. Oh wait.

Kane Knight 07-16-2006 09:59 AM

Yeah, I know, it's not jobbing on ECW. Boo hoo. Wrestling's so unfair.

Innovator 07-16-2006 11:55 AM

It was a rumor, never reported by anyone credible

So he didn't do drugs, was suspended for an attitude problem, and didn't get punished like the druggies. Yeah, that's horribly unfair.

Maybe I'm just desensitized because wrestlers seem to have an attitude problem in general, thinking it's okay to sodomise people or harrass folks into quitting (Apparently only a big deal if you're not a part of the master race) or constantly trying to make people more talented than you look bad, but this shit seems horribly tiny, and in little need of "punishment" compared to...You know, the WRESTLING WORLD.

Chavo Classic 07-16-2006 01:21 PM

I wasn't comparing Orton's treatment to any of the drug users. History has shown there is no tolerance for wrestlers shown to be abusing, such as the release of Brian Christopher, Eddie Guerrero and Jeff Hardy.

My argument is that Orton's attitude stinks all round, and he hasn't been punished to the degree expected. Big Show was sent to OVW for six months back in 2000/2001 just for being overweight. If I were Vince, I'd have no issue with sending Orton packing to OVW for his attitude and botches both in and out of the ring.

Kane Knight 07-16-2006 01:29 PM

Yeah. Too bad they turned a blind eye when Eddie was using steroids, and ignored the problem with other drugs until it was too blatant to ignore.

No tolerance my ass. If that was true, RVD would be released, and possibly Sabu.

There is a serious substance abuse problem within wrestling that has been ignored, and is still being ignored, otherwise more than a handful of people would be suspended.

History has shown it? What, did Vince write a history on the subject?

Show has been sent down a couple of time due to weight, but he's also been assigned a personal health consultant in the past, too. He hasn't always been dropped off at OVW, even though his weight keeps going up. no consistancy here, either.

Oh well, it's a shame you're not Vince. We'll just be stuck with a main eventer with an attitude problem, and that might just ruin wrestling.

Chavo Classic 07-16-2006 01:36 PM

You're being awfully belegerant today.

There's always going to be a drug problem in wrestling. Whether it's recreational use to cope with life on the road or steroids to improve performance and phsyique. The majority of high-profile cases where wrestlers have been caught publicly or shown the effects overtly have been dealt with. Yeh, RVD still has a job but he's lost two titles in a week and will probably be returning to midcard hell before not having his contract renewed. Is that not enough punishment for the last guy to break the glass ceiling since Batista?

My issue is with Orton. His attitude and conduct is terrible. Perhaps I'm a little biased also because I see very little talent in the guy either. So naturally, I'd have him carted off in the blink of an eye.

Kane Knight 07-16-2006 02:04 PM

Beligerent is such a harsh word. I prefer to think of it as obstinate. In any case, it's been clear you're taking this instance more to heart than others. I wouldn't claim beligerence when it was obvious I was crusading from post 1.

The MAC 07-16-2006 03:30 PM

Orton knows like Vince knows that (orton) is gonna be gold for the company. He is like a spoilt little rich kid who has the world on a platter..so he does what anyone would do..WHATEVER THE FUCK HE WANTS.

I'm more interested to do see what this "double standards" does to the moral and behaviour of the other "superstars"

Kane Knight 07-16-2006 04:09 PM

I'd guess impact them the same way everyone else has?

They would never send Triple H to OVW or ECW :shifty:
