On the tpww main page, there was a section on the amount that each fighter at UFC 61 received. Tito Ortiz got paid a fair bit more than the Heavyweight Champ. I find that rediculous, the Champs should be the highest paid guys.

Not when you're name is Tito Ortiz and you are the biggest draw in the company right now.

I honestly can't believe there are people out there who think Chuck Liddell is a bigger draw.

I watched the PPV for Ortiz v Shamrock and I assume most other casual UFC fans did aswell.

Of course they did.

Not people I know..

Everyone knew Ortiz was going to destroy Shamrock.. I watched it for Arlovski..

Seriously, most mma fans don't like Andre or Sylvia all that much. Sylvia is a big tool who's a big fish in a small pond, and if PRIDE brings heavyweights over he's going to get fucking smashed. I won't say the same for the other divisions, but certainly heavyweight. Andre had some marketability at one point because he was a goodlooking dude outside the ring, and would transform into a pitbull inside the ring, but he just isn't THAT great compared to the rest of the world's heavyweights; and the fight at Bitter Rivals proved it, he basically pussied himself out of a championship cuz he didn't wanna get hit.

I dunno, I think cuz Chuck is the champ, and they treat him like he's some sort of secret weapon, he is a comparable if not better draw than Ortiz. They do a great job of promoting Chuck. He has the look of a killer, he just has no charisma. But charisma isn't THAT important in mma, it's mostly what you do in the ring. And one punch power in some cases= charisma :p

I liked how during the Silva/Liddell "spot" (?) at Bitter Rivals, Dana White patted Chuck on the stomach like he was calming his gaurd dog..
