These RAW Diva contests are really pointless

Then again, During Triple H's iron championship, ratings went down while he was onscreen, and nobody cared. During the DX reunion, ratings are down, and nobody cares.

Vince tells us what sells, whether we like it or not. And if you think that logic's retarded, keep in mind you're following programming run by carnies who approve of sodomy (but hate gays).

The diva competition is T n A pure and simple and as that's what the 18-30 demographic is looking for then that's what we get. Seeing as I'm 20 and use the diva search to remind myself why music television sucks I must be in the minority.

At the end of the day VKM knows that he can make money without trying , it's been said to death but lack of competition breeds laziness. How many original angles are run? Hardly any, because he knows they work. You could vote with your remote but they'll always be people that VKM caters for and they'll be the ones to keep his profit margins where they are.

The only silver-lining to this theory is that based on the SNME debacle with Hogan being a white elephant to ratings that myabe Vince will see the error of his ways. It's been nearly ten years since that happened so we're due...

Why hasn't the Diva Search improved ratings, then? If that's what 18-30s want, and that's the mainstay of WWE's audience, then why are ratings going DOWN?

I just change the channel whenever the diva search crap is on. If more people will do that there will be less of a chance of the diva search continuing every year.

Let's say we all change the channel when the diva search is on this year, and WWE realises the ratings drop significantly during the diva search segements. Naturally they will bring it back next year, but they will change the format, and make it even more ridiculous. The ratings drop, so they go back to the old forumla for the next year to "go with what worked (but didn't actually work). The ratings will again drop, so the year after the WWE will have the only male only diva search. The ratings drop again, so...

Ah, fuck. We're screwed regardless.

Sadly, WWE doesn't pay attention to QHs. Otherwise, they'd have tanked a lot of programming in the past.
