so i always was under the impression that hogan was supposed to pin sid clean after the leg drop. obviously justice kicked out...shango...warrior return we all know what happened. i thought sid kicked out because he knew he was in trouble with management and was fearing suspension/getting fired so he had nothing to lose and harvey whippleman had to interfere to end the match.

but then i read on imdb.com that shango really was supposed to interfere before sid could kick out of the leg drop.

so what is the real story behind the crappy ending to the ppv. the warrior return was great when i saw it as a kid, but watching it yesterday on dvd was ok at best.

From what I recall, Shango was supposed to run out and stop the 3 count after the leg drop, but Shango did not get there in time, so Sid had to kick out to compensate.

The planned finish was the DQ ending I believe.

Sid kicked out because he was the man.
