Rate the Tag Team - Week 55 - MNM

http://csswrestling.free.fr/Champions/wwechamp/MNM.jpg

WELCOME BACK TPWW!!! I am sorry for the long wait because there is pretty much no reason for it. I was just lazy. I won't ever let it happen again, mark my words. Respek.

So last time we rated The Fabulous Freebirds. They hammered their way into the Top Ten by scoring a HUGE score of 91. Some of you might think that this score is wrong but I took out two of the three zero's. One of them was valid and the other were just done in spite of something else and that is just bullshit. So in the future just vote for the tag teams straight up, not anything else. So let's get to this week's team.

This team is one of the most recently successful tag teams we have ever rated on RTTT. They both started out as a team in OVW and won the OVW Tag Team Titles. In OVW they had a good tag team feud with The Thrillseekers (Matt Cappotelli & Johnny Jeter). They eventually made their way to the WWE. They made a big splash by defeating Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio for their first ever WWE Tag Team Title. They ended up winning those Tag Team Titles two more times until they eventually broke up in May 2006. They were one of the only "true" tag teams of their time. They are managed by Melina. This is Johny Nitro and Joey Mercury, this is MNM!

7.5.

Broken up way too soon.

5.0

They were the only real tag team of the past 2 years, so people jizzed over them way to much.

Hanso Amore 07-27-2006 10:10 PM

They could have been great. But they defended like three times, to crap teams, then broke up.

6

would have been lower if Melina didn't do the split.

Still decent though... 5.0 nonetheless...

They were a good team and should never had been broken up. They had alot of talent.

They had so much potential as a team that was never realised. Maybe because of lack of real tag team competition, or the fact they were split too soon.

It's a shame, because with the Pitbulls and London and Kendrick, there's some pretty good tag matches to be had on smackdown.

Nothing special as tag teams go. But they were the only real team on smackdown in ages.

Good team, but didn't explore their full potential as a gimmick due to the lack of focus from WWE, and were broken up too soon.

Bad Company 07-28-2006 07:52 PM

5. Didn't hang around long enough

Seriously, I did not enjoy a single MNM match...ever. They are boring, their Hollywood gimmick is shit, and on a personal note I hated hearing people talk them up so much. They offered nothing, and on a side note Johnny Nitro is just as useless on his own in my opinion. Melina's tits where the only break out stars of this union born out of the boring side of hell.

D Mac 07-29-2006 01:17 PM

Melinas not even that pretty.

The One 07-29-2006 01:31 PM

I have heard people say she looks much better in person then she does on TV. That being said, I suspect most men havn't even looked north of the neck.

Afterlife 07-30-2006 09:15 PM

10. Best team in a long ass time. Not to mention that, although they weren't given full focus due the a lack of company thot towrad their division at the time AND the overly aknowleged fact that they were split too soon, they kicked ass with what they were given.

Avenger 07-30-2006 10:53 PM

A good team, unfortunately there were no real teams around for them to fued with and they were broken up when they had plenty of mileage in them.

Corndad 08-01-2006 02:58 PM

6.

As everyones been saying, they were basically the only Tag Team around at the time pushing them above what they probably were. I actually liked the gimmick they were given, but always felt would be more effective as singles wrestlers instead. With that being said, they should have had a longer time to be a team before breaking up.

How about you people follow The One's lead and give a reason for why you rate lower than 4 or 5?

"lol 2" is the lousiest and laziest vote ever, and things like that shouldn't even count.

I'd give them at least a 6. While not the greatest tag team ever by far, not even the best at the given moment, they were the first real tag team on SD in a long time. That, and I actually liked their entrance..the first 3 times.

Caged Heat18 08-09-2006 08:13 AM

6. I enjoyed them a lot, and I liked the fact that they were a "real" tag team, with matching outfits, double team moves, and a manager.
