Mass Transit: Eric Kulas
 

Most people know the Mass Transit story. An untrained 17-year-old wrestler by the name of Eric Kulas substituted for Axl Rotten to team with D-Von Dudley against New Jack and Mustafa at an ECW show. He performed under the name "Mass Transit" and during the match, New Jack cut his forehead too deeply with an exacto knife, almost killing him. A lawsuit was filed, but Heyman, ECW and New Jack were eventaully accquitted of all charges.

Eric Kulas died a few years later at the age of 22.

Why?

He was mad fat..

I dunno..

But, for the record, he did not almost die and was even hanging out backstage getting autographs and shit after the match..

I read he died while undergoing gastric bypass suregry

Trained professionals should not be in the ring with new jack, let alone some untrained kid.

Seriously though,I never knew he died. I haven't seen the footage but was it as bad as everybody makes it out to be?

I'm not 100% if this is the footage, because it doesn't match the blade story I've heard off of one of the DVDs. But here's New Jack hitting a guy with a chair from the top...

You sure that's the footage... Because in Forever Hardcore it says that New Jack cut him, he sold it by putting his head down, he looked up, then looked back down saw all the blood then started freaking out. And in that video it shows someone just cleaning up his head after he got hit with the chair.

The only thing I can figure is that it's after New Jack actually cut him. The amount of blood and the description of the kid matches fairly well. That footage has been floating around the internet as the footage for years.

Wasn't it a piece of wood he used with a nail or blade in it?

Either way New Jack is a prick. And the footage is quite horrible. The guy is really crying in pain and shit.

But like Dorkchop said, trained professionals shouldn't get in the ring with New Jack, let alone an untrained kid.

Also, New Jack was supposed to blade the kid because, if I recall correctly, the kid wasn't sure how to do it.

The kid was fine. It was a bad blade though (think when Rocky did a bad blade and had blood pouring off of his face.) New Jack really did nothing wrong. The kid on the other hand lied about his age, and his training.

In Forever Hardcore they said that the kid was actually going around and not only trying to book his own match, but was telling other guys what to do.

Quite frankly, as big of an Asshole New Jack is, the kid deserved it.

Nobody deserves that.

Anyone who's stupid enough to get into the ring with and knows about New Jack deserves it.
