Do they really need to keep doing this?

from wrestling-edge.com

Vicki Guerrero is expected to turn heel and side with Chavo Guerrero against Rey Mysterio. Also, the storyline is expected to be "UGLY".
---------------------------------------------------------------------

This is just really getting annoying now. Chavo turning heel is one thing, but Vickie?? I just wonder WWE is gonna start making Vickie work more now because Eddie was still under contract. Why don't they just let Eddie go?

Destor 08-01-2006 06:10 PM

Eddie is still apart of the show. Even a year past his death. I would for this to happen to me when I go.

Kane Knight 08-01-2006 06:18 PM

When exactly did they sign Rectal Pertruder to book?

Skippord 08-01-2006 07:05 PM

Awesome

Hanso Amore 08-01-2006 07:29 PM

It is so sad. Even his wife is shittign on his death.

Flair Wooo 08-01-2006 07:44 PM

Who cares...

KingofOldSchool 08-01-2006 09:07 PM

New boundries of shit are being broken every day.

BigDaddyCool 08-01-2006 09:39 PM

You mean people acctaully watch smackdown? I haven't seen that show in almost a year because of my work schedule or social schedule.

Kane Knight 08-01-2006 09:54 PM

BDC with a social life?

That's like Bender with a vow of abstinence.

St. Jimmy 08-01-2006 11:16 PM

 i wish i booked this shit.

Mr. Nerfect 08-01-2006 11:22 PM

I'm actually liking this storyline. Why? Because as soon as the WWE is in front of a live crowd, Chavo and Vickie are going to get a standing ovation. Everything they're likely going to say in this feud is going to coincide with what we've been saying. Rey is whoring out Eddie's legacy. If Chavo can turn the "Eddie" chants into something which supports him, the women and little kids will stop chanting it. The male fans will likely start, but oh well.

Chavo Guerrero is officially a babyface in my eyes, and I can't wait to Summerslam because of it. Hopefully the fans turn on Rey Mysterio and get right behind Chavo, which will fuck everything up long term (Rey will likely go over Chavo clean, which will look really bad with the fans behind Chavo), but will be enjoyable for one night.

I'm halfway tempted to just respond with ":naughty:" but that'd be pretty messed up, even by my standards.

Afterlife 08-02-2006 05:50 AM

At least this seems like it will be about Eddie, as opposed to involving him.

Dave Youell 08-02-2006 06:19 AM

I guess Vicky ok'd the whole thing, it's hypercritcal for us to shit all over it, if the wife of the man who died is fine with it.

It's been documented that she needs to cash and to be honest, all power to her.

As far as the angle goes, Summerslam should be very interesting, it's the second largest group of smark marks behind mania. Remember Brock Vs Rock? They basically turn Rocky heel that night.

She's also been reported as in debt for a long time. Simply doing something does not make her okay with it, especially if it's her only source of income. By that logic, prostitution should be legal simply because none of the girls have a problem with it (Not so, but hey, when you can whitewash a sitch).

Also, maybe it's just my inferior brain, but I don't see the hypocrisy, either. Hypocrisy is saying one thing, and doing the opposite. Have any of us been on TV running Eddie's legacy into the ground? Or running our own deceased relatives into the ground? Please, explain....

Corkscrewed 08-02-2006 12:28 PM

I'm sorry, but I burst out laughing when I read the phrase "Vicki Guerrero is expected to turn heel."

I'd expect she'll be a better heel than Linda McMahon, but that's not saying much.

Let the sad, ugly unintentional comedy ensue.

I do feel sorry for Eddie, tho. If you believe in that sort of thing, he's looking down on everyone feeling pretty damn bad that his family has to go through this. Prolly.

KingofOldSchool 08-02-2006 12:30 PM

And seriously, if any one had a REAL problem with this whole thing, people would have been asking for their release months ago. And don't tell me that they have to pay bills and stuff, because there are other jobs out there besides wrestling if they were really offended by this.

Kane Knight 08-02-2006 12:40 PM

Hookers can get real jobs too. Does that mean they all enjoy being hookers?

Yes, I'm comparing Vicko, Chavo, and Rey to hookers.

owenbrown 08-02-2006 01:34 PM

Eddie Guerrero in heaven right now: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

Lord-Of-Darkness 08-02-2006 02:26 PM

He looks different now..... :shifty:

The Naitch 08-02-2006 02:27 PM

nah, Eddie is probably loving this right now

If I was a dead wrestler, I'd love still being part of the show even if I was in heaven

Xero 08-02-2006 02:44 PM

I find it ironic that, even in these circumstances, we're bitching about them continuing an at least interesting storyline, which has been going on for well over a year (if you count when Eddie started feuding with Rey), but when they drop a shitty storyline, we moan and complain.

Am I okay with it? Well, I don't think they should be exploiting Eddie's memory, no. But the fact is that this is one of the longest-running, continuing storylines within the past 6 years or so, and it's fairly classic and straight forward. Eddie dies, Rey uses Eddie's name to get to the top, Eddie's nephew is pissed about it. It's a perfect set up.

They killed the storyline when they started in with the "Dominic, I am your Papi, esse!" Shit, well before Eddie died.

Anyway, your inconsistancy isn't.

What, my inconsistency with the Eddie storylines? Because I already said I don't think they should be doing it, but at least it makes sense from a WWE storyline standpoint.

Kane Knight 08-02-2006 05:15 PM

No, commenting on the inconsistency of the fans.

The comedy I find in this is WWE actually booking Chavo and Vickie as "heels" for finally speaking the truth and defending Eddie. This is just one big mind fuck on the fans because in order to turn on Rey, they will have to turn on themselves first....because the "Eddie" chants for Rey are what started this whole damn thing. So ironically, Vince has just turned the "fans" heel and not the Guerrero's...and most of them probably won't even figure it out.

This is why I love wrestling, because only in the WWE world will you see people turn on the real life family of a departed love one and side with a masked midget.

Flair Wooo 08-02-2006 06:11 PM

Eddie is in hell

KingofOldSchool 08-02-2006 06:33 PM

Ya know...does this mean Dominic will get involved and turn on Rey?

I mean afterall, he is supposed to be a blood "Guerrero," right?

Eddie will come back as Chucky and try to possess Dominic. He will fail for the last time at Wrestlemania when Dominic teams with Kane, burning both Chucky & Chavo alive and sending them to hell. :shifty:

Kane Knight 08-02-2006 08:19 PM

Remember how Dominic was reportedly stressed out by the previous angle?

Yeah, I bet that it's gonna be even worse this time around, when Auntie Vicky beats the shit out of his Papi in front of him.

Innovator 08-02-2006 08:33 PM

If Vickie says no, those checks from WWE would probably stop coming.

As bad as this is, if she signed off on it, it's all faire in love and desecration

Kane Knight 08-02-2006 09:09 PM

To be fair, I doubt they'd respect her wishes anyway.

Innovator 08-02-2006 09:22 PM

True, He's Vince McMahon Dammit!

KingofOldSchool 08-02-2006 10:06 PM

They'd hire one of the Diva search contestants to play Vickie.

Kane Knight 08-02-2006 10:15 PM

And make her into a whore.

Kane Knight 08-02-2006 10:15 PM

I meant Vicky, not the Diva Search contestant.

At least that wouldn't require acting abilities.
